really bad, all the girls working there have no bedside manners...they work and treat you like you do not matter... The doctor who saw me didnt guide, help or advice me in any way... Next visit i saw the Nurse Practitioner who was so busy talking about herself and yet she complained about the other staff being upset with her for spending too much time with the patient. I had to get some forms signed by the doctor, the staff took them, called me after a few days then advised me to file for my claim online and then pay them for helping sigh those edd forms but came back to me and said i need to see them again for follow up so they could bill my insurance and i to make some more money. I found these people completely compassionless. Except for Dr. Rose and Dr. Oconner who are very hard to find.. i could go on an on but shoud stop right here... i only go there as i had no options when no one else was open at the hour when i had an health issue...

I saw Dr. John Cheng several years ago about an injury to my shoulder. He was very thorough in his examination, he didnt prescribe drugs, and by taking his advice, I healed quicker than I would have without his advice. I recently called Dr. Cheng again concerning my knee and my wrist. He personally returned my call (not a message through his staff) within an hour. It was a Friday afternoon, and he asked if I was available to see him on Saturday for an examination. My wife was so impressed by the call, that she decided to switch doctors. The guy followed up on my condition 3 days later by phone. I am very pleased with my doctor. He is very knowledgeable, hes careful with prognosis, and more importantly, hes unique in the area of patient followup...he actually does it. So far, the front staff seems to have a grip on courtesy, which is rare these days.

I wrote this review already on Yelp, but the experience was so TERRIBLE that its worth repeating! This place is run terribly. No appointment except for physicals means you could be waiting 2-3 hours like I have. Im writing this after two hours of waiting.... So far! When I called ahead I was told 15-20 min wait. There are 3 people ahead of me and we are all irate! When speaking to the office manager she tells us not to come this time of year. Really! The office manager does not listen to our needs and speaks over us. Poor management, poor service. Look elsewhere! Why are u still reading this? Find another place to go, I will be.

What can I say other than Dr. Cheng is AWESOME!! I am in my 40s so I have seen a few Doctors over the years and I was about to think all of the great ones had retired. Just by chance we went to South Coast Medical cause it was easy. We figured it was going to be another Doc-In-A-BOX walk-in Clinic. Much to our surprise Dr. Cheng took the time to understand us and has been helping us find a better life through better health. I am writing this review because I really feel Dr. Cheng has helped both my wife and I find a better healthier life, for that I cannot think him enough.

I have been going to South Coast Medical Group for years now. Dr Oconnor is my doctor and I have seen Dr. "Rose", Dr. Tran and Cheng on many occasions. I have always had the best treatment here, they are the best doctors I have ever been treated by. I like the fact you can walk in with no appointment and get full service treatment. Dr. Sunshine, as nice as he is, is no longer at this medical group. The doctors who are at this clinic make this an A+ facility for people of all ages, 7 days a week, extended hours. Broken bones to runny noses, its the place to go!

This place has terrible service. Hard to see a Dr. PA Shaun Brewster saw me. Over three weeks went by before I had to call to get followup on lab results. Apparently he went on vacation after my labs came in, has returned and still no followup. PA was totally unfamiliar with medical history. Making decisions based on first appointment and not aware of prior medical history is unprofessional. They need to take the time to know their patients. After all we spend a lot of time in the waiting room for their professional advise.

This place is Californian health care at its finest. A joke. The women up front dont acknowledge you until you verbally get their attention. Someone brought their dog inside and the nurse ignored me until the dog left with the patient. Ive been here over and over again and everytime its worse. I was told it would be a 45 min wait but now they said its two hours. I will not be returning. I was told there would be a 45 min wait. And that was two hours ago. Im still in the waiting room.

My Fiancee was quite unwell whilst on holiday in California and our English Travel insurance would not pay out on her condition but they were happy to see her for a reasonable fee. She also had to change her drugs a few days later as they gave her a bad reaction, the clinic was super helpful letting her have an alternative without seeing a Dr again and therefore avoiding a second fee. Dr was also very nice and helpful that we saw.

My family and I have been going to South Coast Medical Group for several years. Dr. Cheng is extremely knowledgeable and responsive. They have a great walk-in clinic and a helpful staff. I have been treated for sports related injuries and various illnesses and the doctors in the group are excellent. The staff is also very helpful and professional and have been responsive to my follow up calls.

I just started with them last week. I was not able to see a doctor I saw a PA. He was very nice but getting through the paperwork and getting any referrals for tests is very time consuming. Be prepared to follow-up over and over again. They will tell you one thing but you call back and get someone else, you get another answer. They are not proactive to get back to you if something is not correct.

Dr. Cheng vas very helpful in treating my wrist/thumb pain that was preventing me from working. The very carefully placed injections made a tremendous difference. The staff was helpful and very professional. I also like that it is also an urgent care, so I can go in after work and still be seen.

Their billing depart wont refund my overpaid $20 until they receive the money from Insurance company which is 4 months later. I dont know what they are worrying about or just want to be good make me patiently frustrated and hope me wont be back for debt?

Pretty good. Not super friendly at the front desk, but they are open after business hours and weekends. Plus it helps when they provide treatment of any infections or severe colds every time Ive had something.

The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and quick. The PA, Chardonnay, was also great to speak with and very informative and actually cared. Overall fantastic experience at an Urgent Care facility

Dr. John Cheng has been my primary care physician for some 10 years. He is tremendous. I have referred him both friends, family and clients. I know that Dr. Cheng will take good care of my referrals.
