I have tried several times since June of 2010 to speak with Dr. Hasenauer about a billing mistake, but he has yet to call me back. I want to state clearly that the administration has been very helpful in attempting to assist me with resolving this issue, especially Belen (shes great) but Dr. Hasenauer has not returned my calls and refuses to see me in person. I went to see him for a mole removal. The first attempt (he tried to freeze it) did not work and it resulted in a swollen, painful, discolored mess; it tripled in size, turned brown and the skin around it hardened and bruised. I tried to call a couple of times to see if this was normal, but I did not get a return call so a few days later I called and scheduled another appointment. Dr. Hasenauer showed up 20 minutes late to my 30 minute appointment, and he surgically removed the mole. A few months later, I received a bill for $150 for "skin tag removal," a procedure which 1) I did not have and 2) my insurance does not cover. On top of that, Hasenauer billed me twice for the same mole removal, even though the first attempt did not work. (Both times were billed as separate "skin tag" removals.) I have spoken with my insurance, and they said the only way to resolve this is for the doctor to correct his billing, but he refuses and claims that he informed me that my mole was a "skin tag." In total, I am being billed $300 for a mole removal procedure that should be covered by insurance, but isnt because Hasenauer billed it incorrectly and refuses to admit his mistake. On a separate note, my insurance has been contacting me saying that my doctor informed them that I have high cholesterol. This is disconcerting because Hasenauer never mentioned anything of the sort to me. If I do have high cholesterol, it would be nice for Hasenauer to call me for an appointment and tell me if my health is at risk instead of skipping telling the patient and going strait to the insurance company.

The office staff and doctor were cheerful, helpful and listened carefully. I never have to wait long and the clinic facilities are beautiful. Doctor Hasenauer knows his stuff and is very honest about what medical science knows and can do.

Dr. Kevin Hasenauer is very honest, thoughtful and a good listener. I feel fortunate to have seen him about my knee and helped me to get a referal to an orthopedic doctor. Went seemless and the staff was amazing!
