I have been going here for cleanings for about 2 years, then I realized there were some neighboring dentists in the local area (Monterey on Cass St. for example) which are less expensive for their basic cleanings. First thing to know about this office: their cleanings are currently at $104 (but my recent cleaning cost me $145. Why? Because the hygenist had Dr. Carl come in & just do a brief look at a little dark mark on a rear molar--that was it & they charged me more?) It should be noted the hygenist has tried to get me to have a certain procedure done on that spot, but its so inconsequential & she even said my teeth are in good condition at age 31 so I rejected this procedure as frivolous (thats the 2nd time Ive said no about that). She also said the price for that procedure had gone up (thats convenient--must be due to the bad economy; or maybe the several cancellations by customers she mentioned). Second thing to know: They will try to get you to have an X-ray once a year, & I didnt realize that when I first started going to this office--I caught on to it after the 1st year. A frivolous X-ray a year after they had already done a complete exam (to me that seems like padding the bill). I have rejected further requests to do an X-ray. I think I will be switching dentists.

Dr Carl and his office are the most professional and compassionate dental team I have ever met. My family has been in his care for many years and we have all had the most positive experience. Recently, on the Friday before Christmas vacation I fell and broke my front teeth. Dr. Carl met me at his office at 8 pm and fixed everything so that I could enjoy my holidays. He is reassuring and compassionate and yet focused and very professional and experienced. I cannot recommend him enough to anyone who needs the best in dental care. His office team and staff are his equal and I highly recommend the entire experience.
