I came here in a panic after my greyhound had broken his tail and my current vets were all at lunch and not available. Dr. Sarah Wind saw him immediately and let me know the prognosis within hours after a though examination - they were going to have to amputate the tail. The surgery was the next morning, and great care was taken to make the tail look as normal as possible. She did a beautiful job, and 2 months later he is fully healed and the hair has grown back on the end of the tail. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable, the doctors thorough with the tests and procedures without going overboard. Their love of animals really shows. I am now moving all of my records to NHAH, and this will now be the home for all of my greyhounds needs. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone!

Horrible customer service. I have been trying for over three months to get a simple health certificate for my dog to travel abroad- THREE MONTHS of un-returned phone calls, being transferred to voice mails, etc. When I finally expressed my frustration to the front desk person I was placed on hold for 10 minutes, and eventually hung up on after being told that I could not speak to a doctor to address the issue. The people at the front desk were completely clueless, rude and inconsiderate. I immediately called elsewhere and have an appointment this afternoon with a vet who was very versed in the certificate I needed and was shocked that this process was not started sooner because it is time consuming and has to be completed months in advance. We will not be taking our dog to this place again.

Vaccinations are a necessity for your dog, and this vet WILL give your dog the CHEAPEST brand of vaccinations on the market. The company they chose has had many adverse effects on fur babies, yet this vet insist on the cheaper BRAND of vaccinations in the name of profit at your fur babies expense. I even went out of my way to ask for the better quality vaccination (and Ill pay the extra cost) and they said no because they have to "buy their shots in bulk".... ...and its also unusual that when they give a shot, they WILL NOT let you be along side you fur baby, unless you pay extra for the vet and not a technician. In the name of profit, go to this vet, in the name of your fur baby, plenty of other options.

Dr. Millian and the staff at NHAH were very comforting, accommodating, patient, and caring when I had to say goodbye to my kitty boy! They provided me with detailed explanations of all treatment and quality of life options. They were professional yet compassionate and understood the difficulties I faced within my personal decisions. Dr. Millian provided exemplary guidance and counsel in the challenging decisions I was faced with. He let me know and helped me to understand it is okay to let go. I sincerely appreciated the devotion and caring NHAH provided me. I highly recommend taking your furry, feathery, scaly, etc. family members to NHAH. Also, they are open on weekends, which wonderful.

Renee Herrera,D.V.M and the staff has taken great care of my senior dog OSCAR. they explain in great detail if you have any questions and explain the cost and talk about what they can offer your pet if expense is an issue. After a procedure that required stitches Dr.Herrera called the next day to ask how my dog Oscar was doing personally instead of one of the staff. I have been taking my dog here for the last 3 and a half years and would never think of changing. I have also boarded my dog without worrying about him staff for boarding is there 24 hours and can call for check ups any time. I would without a doubt recommend them for your pet.

I have taken all of my fur babies to this vet since 1980 and have never been dissatisfied. Every doctor is caring for both my pets and myself. Through new puppy and kitten care to senior care, boarding, emergencies, terminal illness and in between, the entire staff is thoughtful and helpful. Even though I dont live as close as I used to when I started there, I continue to entrust my fur babies to them.

Doctor Cindy Wade and her amazing staff were everything a d more that I could ask for! None judgmental, friendly, caring. Didnt force anything i couldnt afford and got me in right away as for appointments go and i didnt have to wait more than 3 minutes to be seen. I WILL NOT TAKE DUKE ANYWHERE ELSE AGAIN. They are my primary for life.

best place to bring your dog. my siberian husky Siku run away and got hit on the Costa Mesa freeway, nothing too bad, but they instantly took her in for examination and observation. a big thank you to all the doctors and staff
