Nothing but 4 negative experiences here over 6 years. I gave another chance each time and they showed that their priority was the almighty dollar. The last experience was that my dog had a small altercation with another dog several years ago. There was a bite that broke the skin and that was all. They played the " drama " game and made it like the smaller dog that got bit was at deaths door, spine damage and might not survive. They turned around, when confronted with the lie and my disagreement of injuries and changed the whole diagnosis when they realized I wasnt an idiot and I knew it was just a bite. No spine injury and nothing major at all. They put a bandage on the bite and then wanted to charge $800 for a quick exam and bandage. No Xray, nothing, I told them no way. They kept calling and sending me $ offers and settlements lower than the initial charge, clearly showing that they had overcharged me to begin with. They went down hundreds of dollars and I refused and instead paid the small fair amount of an office visit. I went to a local lawyer who said other people had negative dealings with this vet and gave his advice to not deal with them. They also charged me $500 a few years before all of this, for a stitched leg on my dog and then wanted to charge an office visit for each follow up bandage check and a $20 bandage fee as well. I told them I had sterile bandages at home and I was done. They will lie and defend themselves but I know many others who have had the same type of experiences with them that I did. Stay away.

Worst Vet Clinic ever took my beautiful 13 yr old cat there 2 times in a month for loss of hair and loss of weight they charged us 600 dollars over that month money i had to borrow for me to have to bury my cat today.. iv fluids, xray, blood work and my cat was healthy just ask them everything was normal... well it wasnt normal he was a mainecoon long hair beautiful cat and he was loosing his hair in clumps and then was not wanting to eat or drink water well we are almost 100% sure my cat died of mange and today i will be demanding a refund of money because nothing they did to my healthy cat saved him from a painful death of parasites eating him the sad thing is second visit vet wanted us to give iv fluids and watch him and the tech made a comment as we were leaving it looks like he has something going on with his skin funny the vet did not say anything about that but my husband and i were sure concerned about that and neither of us went to vet school nothing they do can bring back my beautiful Sirius but ill be damned if im going to let them have all that money of mine to only kill other peoples pets as well... So moral of the story pet owner beware this vet hospital only cares about the all mighty buck not your pet and beloved family member.

I have always had animals ranging from dogs, cats, and sheep. The first time I experienced High Desert was about 10 years ago, when our sheep had complications from birthing. It was sad, but they did everything they could and they really helped my sisters with their grief over losing their sheep. After that, I have always taken my animals to HDACH. I love the people there, they are always friendly and you can tell they truly love animals. I always feel comfortable with their recommendations and I have never had not one single even slightly bad experience. When you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and at least two employees are asking about your animal because they think it is adorable. I just recently received a puppy from a friend, and did not know what to do. I had never gotten a puppy from anyone else besides a breeder. I called, got an appointment the next day, and was able to ask all the questions I needed. It really helped me out a lot to be able to sit down and just bombard them with questions. This is what I appreciate the most about going here. They genuinely care. Thanks for your great service HDACH!

It was a Sunday morning and my kitten became very ill. No other clinic was open so I took him to High Desert. When the doctor saw him he told me it was an upper respiratory infection. I told him I didnt believe it was simply because the kittens brother is perfectly healthy. He did not offer to run any blood work or even give fluids what so ever. He sent me home with an appetite stimulant and that was all. The next morning the kitten was much worse. I rushed him over to Palmdale Veterinary Hospital where I saw Dr. Choi. He ran blood work and gave fluids but unfortunately it wasnt enough and my 8week old kitten died within hours. Had he gotten the proper treatment the day before, the doctor says he could have pulled through. I called the High desert after I was called with the news and told them what had happend, the doctor told me" well you should have accepted the the treatments that were offered to you," NOTHING WAS OFFERED TO ME!! I will never again put my animals health in the hands of this GOD AWFUL hospital again.

We had a very bad experience with this vet a couple years back. Our puppy broke her leg at 3 months old, we took her to this vet and they got her fix up. When we took her back to get the pin taken out of her leg they sent her back with a cast on her leg which we thought was weird, at one point she walked over to us and the cast fell off and her leg was broken. We took her back to the vet immediatly and had an xray done and it was a completly different break, and it was a clean break, it was clear by the cut that the vet had broken it while trying to take the pin out, the vet denied it and tried to blame the break on us, the problem with that is, she was only home for a couple days, and she was laying down and was acting lethargic the entire time she was home. The vet continued to blame us, finally she removed the charges for the repair, they still charged me $120 for the medication, which is ridiculous still. Needless to say we never returned, and we never will.

I went and got 3 dogs neutered. I got their certificates for getting them neutered and brought them home. They were all drowsy from the anesthesia etc. When I had one of them on their backs scratching his stomach I noticed that he still had balls. Not being able to believe it I "rechecked" 5 times and sure enough...balls. Apparently two Vets there thought the other one had gone in on the procedure.....HOW? How do you go to a knocked out dog with no procedure done and think its time to take him off the surgery table and put him in a kennel to wait for his owner? P.S. I took a 1.5 year old female in the first moment I noticed her being withdrawn and no appetite. She was tested and was told she had Parvo... then she died within 2 days. I was told she had a unique strand of Parvo.... I just dont know at this point if this is true or another case of major negligence where she would have lived if I had taken her somewhere else.
