I would give zero stars if I could. I went there for my annual medi-cal cleaning and exam. The dentist there said I needed a deep cleaning, a second root canal on my front tooth, and my crown on a molar that I had since 2000 needed to be redone because "it wasnt seated properly". I was told I needed to see an endodontist for a retreatment of the root canal on my front tooth. Also they said I had two minor cavities that I found out through reporting them to medical fraud that medi-cal rejected the bill from them. On Monday, I filled out a form to have the x-rays sent to another dentist that I had an appointment with the following Monday for a second opinion and they said it would only take a day. I went for my financial consultation on Wednesday and was given a $4110.00 bill. Daisy, who was real snippy with my questions, said they would have to pull out the posts on the teeth that had root canals done, redo the crowns, and if I didnt get a deep cleaning it would affect my bone and later on my teeth would loosen and fall out. I tried calling later that day for some questions regarding the endodontist and if they had sent the x-rays to my other dentist because I was starting to get suspicious. After calling 3 times on Wednesday, the office staff said she would get back to me as soon as she was done with patients and that she was in charge of the x-rays. I called twice on Thursday and they said she would get back to me once she was done with patients. I called 2 times on Friday, the second time at 4:00p.m. and they said she would get back to me as soon as she was back at her desk. I called at 4:40p.m. and they said she had a family emergency and that she had to leave. On Monday, I called my other regular dentist to see if the x-rays were sent and they said they hadnt. I went down to Alzates office and knowing Daisy was trying to avoid me I saw her in the parking lot. She said "Im sorry, I had a family emergency". At the office, the staff informed me that they just had a break in at 3 a.m. where 2 t.v.s were stolen and the office manager Cindy who I guess is suddenly now in charge of the x-rays wasnt there to send them. I told them I would have to pay for x-rays at my other dentist and she said "Im sorry". I get to my other dentist and he said my teeth were perfectly fine and that "they are trying to take your money". Luckily, the second dentist didnt charge for x-rays. A year ago, Dr. Alzates tried to sell me a deep cleaning and the other same dentist office (not medical) said I just needed a cleaning. Also, they tried to tell my brother that he needed a deep cleaning and they also couldnt clean his teeth until he got that done. I am so disgusted I dont think Ill go to another medi-cal dentist again! They were going destroy my perfectly good teeth to make money. I am now in the process of reporting them to medi-cal fraud and the dental board. Make sure you always get a second opinion anytime there is an unusually high or suspicious bill and dont ever do business with them!!!!

My niece had an appt on Oct. 3rd for a consult. We went and also went ahead and scheduled an appointment to get dental work done for her. We were asked by the girl who sets up the appointments what day would be best. I told her a Wednesday would be the best option. We went ahead and scheduled for Oct 19th. On that day of the 19th, she had an earlier appt. For something else, after that we had breakfast and then headed over to This place for her appt. ( i did not take her to school or home because we live outside of Fresno, and it would of been pointless for her to go to school for an hour just to get pulled back out for the visit, the trips werent worth the time spent driving and gas.) when we got there we were informed that she was not even on the schedule, they looked around their computers to find her name and nothing. They couldnt even find a "future appt" they said. I was annoyed with myself for not having the business card which had the date of the appt. Anyway, they made me feel dumb, and said they would reschedule her for another day ( they didnt even know what it was they were scheduling her for!!) i told them i had to see what days we were available for another visit since it is an inconvenience for us, since we live outside of fresno. I came home to look for the card and found it! It reads 10/19/16 @11:30am. Oh they also offered for me to return after their lunch which was at 2pm. I told them no thank you. I do not plan on staying in Fresno all day, and i also had my other niece and nephew to pick up from school. I told them i would give them a call. Needless to say, i will never return to them. Unfortunately i can not say if Dr. Alzate is a good dentist or not, since we did not get to meet. But as far as the girls in the front. They SUCK!

My 1st time here was a professional fast and friendly experience. I recently went back and I can no longer say I will return. Dr. Alzate is a good DR. Dont get me wrong but his staffs has become a whole bunch of unprofessionals, mis-communications, un-knowledgeable and un-experience assistants. It took 4 people to take my x rays and while sitting there in the chair all the staff were just arguing about what may be the right position or not. Wasted a lot of time!!! And on top of that I was sent back to the x Ray room 2 more times to do some retake and of course the same s*** happened again. I was there bcuz I had a tooth ache and just wanted to take care of that. But they started doing all these other things to me that I didnt request for... Like had a hygienist measure my tooths and demanded that I "HAVE" to do it after I specifically told them that I was only there for my tooth ache and nothing more. They seemed money hungry! And now they want to say that I "Have" to do a deep cleaning before they can perform anything on me. Which is going to cost $700 just for a deep cleaning (Angie list says thats a lot for a deep cleaning). Which I call bullshit cuz 8 months ago when I was there for the same exact reason I am there now... They didnt tell me then that I need to do a deep cleaning before they can do any procedures. I can go on forever about my last disappointing visit here. Other than that, both Dr. There was cool. Place is overly priced tho.

Im a patient on medical that went to Dr.Alzates office. And I was pretty flattered on how I was treated over there and on how they handled my appointment. The person who took my x-rays was nice. The Dr that did my checkup explained the things that needed to be done for my treatment. Then I seen the financial girl called Greta or Gretel she was so good and nice explaining everything she gave me my payment plan where I can afford my work. next to her was a nice lady called Mary she help me with questions I had about coverage with medical . There was a blonde lady in the office into entrance she was nice to (I think shes the boss) she always kept a smile I recommend this office for your families. Everyone was nice and overall had awesome costumer service. They rock!
