I have been going to Contra Costa Regional Medical Center Ophthalmology for my eye treatment with Dr. Kevin Beadles for over 2 years now and would not trust my eyes to anyone but Dr. Beadles. He is kind, patient, knowledgable, efficient, professional and most importantly sincere. At every appointment staff are friendly, courteous, and diligent. Most recently, I had both my eyes operated on two weeks apart (5/23 and 6/6) and the result were superb! Prior to my surgery, Dr. Beadles explained the whole process thoroughly and in great detail of what he will be doing every step of the way including the pros and cons. On both days of my eye surgeries, I showed up early and was well prepared for my appointment with a feeling of complete confidence as I know I am in good hands with Dr. Beadles. At the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, I was greeted by the friendly staff as the process started. The timing for both my surgeries were prompt and they were quick, efficient and painless! I couldn’t be any happier with the results of my eye surgeries and the fact that I can see clearly now makes a huge difference in the quality of my life. Frankly, I’ll be more than happy to talk to anyone about my experience, but I felt the review should focus more on what makes this surgeon Dr. Kevin Beadles and his team so awesome. I am not a huge yelper, but think that the service Ive received deserves a serious shout out. Thank you for all you do, Dr. Beadles and team. I am glad he is my Ophthalmologist and I highly recommend his service to anyone as he is extremely skilled, knowledgable and he truly knows his stuff. A well deserved 5 STARS!

My husband was admitted Friday, September 12, 2014. At the sink area was a mans plastic urinal full of urine uncovered ( this is were the patient brush their teeth and wash hands. I could not believe how Contra Costa Regional Medical Center has lack of sensitivity and compassion to patient care. September 17th, I found the same urinal container inside bathroom emptied but full of urine stain. I put on some gloves and toss the disgusting container. Also, I had to change my husbands bed linens everyday. Is this suppose to be done by the CNA? There were group of nurses in (3) or employees at the nursing station just chatting away. They do not make eye contact or acknowledgement when you come around the nursing station. The floors were not swept on daily basis? so as the bathroom not sanitized at all. I notice blood stains on the window sills. Also pillows were piled up on the same sink were I saw the urinal Very disgusting.. my regret was not taking pictures I could have posted it. I will be keeping journal on my daily visits and will keep posting.

Recently had a C section there and after my surgery and stay I wanted to make sure I posted a good review. The Drs. And Nurses made me feel very comfortable even though I was anxious about a C section. In the recovery, which wasnt very fun, I had really good nurses who were genuinely caring. I had my 1st Baby in Kaiser and the experience at the Martinez Health Center was better. The only downfall to the health center is that you share a room with someone after you have your baby. This means you can or will hear noise when you are trying to sleep. Besides that the facility is decent and the scenery from the windows are beautiful. I also want to write how before the surgery you meet the Drs who will be working on you, and also the anesthesiologist. I really felt comfortable during surgery knowing I got to meet the people who would be in the room. I had George as an Anesthesiologist and he did a wonderful job, he was very caring and I couldnt help but tell him thank you non stop. Very happy with the service here. Hope everyone else had an experience like me.

My Wife and I went to visit my Mother on the 5th floor med-surg on the evening of 3/19/22 around 6:30pm. We waited patiently at the nurses station so we can ask the staff or one of the 4 to 5 people at the nursing station if they can tell us where my Mothers room was but after 5 minutes of people walking up to us, answering the phone in front of us yet not making eye contact or even acknowledging we were there, I pulled out my cell phone, which I didnt want to do out of respect for the no cell phone signs, and called my brother in the room. We were in awe that not one single person even acknowledged we were there. My Mom on the other hand said they treated her well in the OR and that staff there made her feel at ease and comfortable. She had a good stay so I guess their patient care is what makes up for their lack of customer service. My main concern was Security, I could have been anyone ready to Rob the place clean and they would have been completely oblivious to what I was doing so for that I will do my best to avoid this hospital as best I can.

This is a county hospital, you get what you pay for.limited budget and very tight protocols, and of course average to D+ doctors..If you have a pre existing condition ,like heart, diabetes, cancer etc..and need long term treatment, you better borrow money from family, friend and get a real insurance so you dont end up here.wont allow you to get second opinions outside of hospital,For Example:In Dermatology department you will be seen by a primary care doctor not a specialist though by law they have to have dermatologist so they use the person license as formality and when you ask for a dermatologist they say he is not available. So what is the point of waiting 3 month to see one.Be extremely cautious of any positive feed backs here. Finally, Hospitals like this have a very good quality liability insurance which pays for their malpractice lawsuits thus they never raise the quality of care.

Do not have jennifer owen as your primary care ! She will lie and tell you to google things instead of doing her job. She shows up to your prenatal appointments without uniform and in slippers with animal hair on them. She couldnt even tell me what was in a epidural but tried to demand i get one . she also tried to have me enduce my labor early uneccessarily and put comments in my doctor notes that were falsified and when i confronted her she had nothing to say. She said my baby is measuring too small but every other doctor said shes doing it on purpose to enduce my labor early And that she doesnt know what shes doing ... She tried to go against my natural birthing plans and no drugs plan and tried to demand i do differently . shes an abusive doctor with control issues .

I have nothing but praise for what some people call just a "County Hospital". Getting an appointment may prove to be difficult at times, but once in, speaking just for myself, I found that the staff including the Doctors and Nurses really listen to what you tell them and speak with you in a way that you are able to understand. I had all the symptoms of a serious condition that my HMO failed to, or didnt care to properly diagnose in the past. Then (finally) with CCRMC the condition was diagnosed very quickly, and a cousre of treatment was immediately put into place! I also know that there are people that want to abuse this system. but if you are open and honest with them, and follow their suggestions. You will recieve Top Notch Service.
