Until last week I spent the last 14 years terrified of the dentist. I had a horrible experience as a young person that literally kept me from necessary dental work for over a decade. Even after working with a therapist to overcome my phobia I couldnt bring myself to actually have work completed until the pain was unbearable and I just couldnt take it anymore. I had researched Diablo Vista Dental Care a couple of years ago and actually interviewed several staff members in my effort to overcome this crippling fear. So when the pain set in I knew there was only one doctor I could trust and Dr. Fard and his team didnt let me down. I called and left a message in the middle of the night begging to be seen as soon as possible. I received a return call 15 minutes before their office actually opened for the day and they told me to come in immediately. From the moment I walked into the office everyone was so supportive and understanding and immediately did everything they could to put my mind at ease. Despite being in excruciating pain I started to relax. Dr. Fard and Jenny listened to me. Helped me to feel relaxed. Allowed me to voice all of my concerns, no matter how irrational, and never made me feel bad about how much I have neglected my dental health. They went out of their way to make sure I was numb and ready to go before getting started and did an EXCELLENT job of checking in with me during the procedure. It was over before I knew it and I felt so much better after it was all said and done. Almost 15 years of anxiety started to slip away. What was most amazing to me is that because I am currently pregnant I wasnt able to take any of the sedation drugs to help me calm down. But Dr. Fard and his staff were able to build that trust and rapport with me in such a short period of time which gave me the courage to go thru with the work. No doubt they actually care about the people they are treating. While Dr. Fard was numbing me, Jenny rubbed my shoulder to distract me and continued to periodically rub my shoulder during the procedure if she noticed I was getting tense! While he was working Dr. Fard told me to raise my hand if I needed him to stop. While I never raised my hand he checked in with me several times and if he noticed I was getting tense he would ask if I was ok and made sure it was ok to proceed. He definitely took his time and made sure I was ok the entire time. Later in the day Dr. Fard called to check on me and much to my surprise and delight his office sent me flowers the next day. This is customer service and care for your clients at a level you just dont see anymore. I am a fan for life and I can actually imagine the day when I come in for a routine visit without any fear or anxiety and feeling good because I have taken care of my neglected teeth and I never have to suffer the embarrassment or emotional and physical pain that comes from this horrible phobia ever again. And all of that will be because this team took the time to listen and care about me as a person. I will recommend Diablo Vista Dental to everyone I know!

Wow, I cannot say enough good things about this office. After many, many, MANY years of neglect due to incredible fear of dentists I finally couldnt take the pain and discomfort any longer and contacted Diablo Vista for an emergency appointment.The front desk staff was comforting on the phone as I reluctantly made my appointment to come in.They constantly reassured me that Dr Fard was amazing. Lets be honest, all front desk staff are suppose to say that. When it came time for my emergency appointment, I was shaking and once again the front desk staff did what they could to calm my nerves. As I was called back and talking with the dental assistant I immediately started to feel calmer, maybe it was because she said no work would be done today. haha. In any case, when Dr. Fard came in and we started talking about my many years of neglect and the major issues I needed to have fixed. I instantly knew everything that the front desk staff and dental assistant said was exactly true. He was amazing. He was kind, personable, compassionate and did not scold me for what I had done to my teeth. I left the office feeling comfortable and ready to get my mouth back to healthy. Then came the dreaded appointment. I opted for sedation because there was no way I was going to make it through the appointment without it. Everyone was great. The dental assistant constantly reassured me that everything was going to be ok, that I was in good hands. And with the help of the meds I believed her, lol. Dr Fard, placed the IV and just like that the procedure was done or at least it felt that way. Dr. Fard was amazing and I cannot thank him and his staff enough for taking such great care of me. He called me later that afternoon to make sure everything was ok and after doing something stupid and panicking that night I called his emergency line and he called me back immediately. This practice is world class in my opinion. They go above and beyond to take care of their patients. I would highly recommend everyone to come to this office, whether you have extreme fear, like me, or just want a great dentist. Diablo Vista is the place to be.

Best Dentist visit Ive ever had. I have a long history of bad teeth and many cavities but two years ago I went to my first visit here and the doctors at Diablo Vista Dental told me how to fix it. So I worked very hard but still had a ton of anxiety going into this recent visit. Victoria was the best Dental Hygienist Ive ever had work on my teeth. She explained what I had done right and what to work on and she really worked hard to get them all clean. She made me comfortable with my teeth which is something no one else during a dentist appointment has ever done. It was great. Then when I needed treatment for two cavities that had developed from poor previous fillings Dr. Fard said hed get it done that day. It was so nice and was done in little time. My teeth have been so messed up over the years that any added filling can affect my whole bite, Dr. Fard took the time to work on the fillings to get the bite just right. Now not only are my teeth clean and healthy but theres the lasting effect of not having so much anxiety about them. Thanks to the whole team.

I have been going to Diablo Vista Dental for almost 2 years now. I have braces and my favorite thing about this office is that I can take care of my dental and orthodontic care at one location. The customer service at Diablo Vista Dental always exceeds my expectations. The front desk staff is extremely organized and goes above and beyond with information and communication. Whether I am getting my teeth cleaned or my braces tightened, every assistant and Doctor in this office is kind, gentle and knowledgeable. I really enjoy my ortho assistant Monica. She always greets me with positive energy, remembers conversations weve had weeks prior and has a down to earth personality. Each member of the staff that I have encountered are truly genuine people and you can really tell that they love and enjoy their jobs. Happy employees make happy customers and theres nothing like a dental/ortho office that you can feel safe and comfortable in.
