Ive been going to the Orinda Optometry Group ever since they were founded. I started in Oakland nearly 46 years ago with Dr. Weyland Eng, a second generation Optometrist from U C Berkeley. His father was Dr. Raymond Eng. Weyland won the young Optometrist award and participated in many studies for the Navy as he was in the Navy Reserves. Not to my surprise his daughter Kristine followed in the footsteps of her father and grandfather. She also won the young Optometrist award. After Weyland retired, Ive been seeing Kristine. The service has been seamless. Orinda Optometry constantly updates their optical equipment to provide me with the latest in eye care. I highly recommend getting your eyes checked by the Orinda Optometry Group. You can also get the latest style of eyeglasses which can be affordable if you have a great vision insurance plan.

I miss Dr Cazden. I love Ronnie, who adjusts the glasses. He does a great job. My latest glasses prescription was COMPLETELY wrong. They are of course going to have me come back to recalibrate and, I hope, get it right, but since my time is extremely tight, it is quite inconvenient. Not clear why this happened. I wish they had been able to just take care of redoing it right then; I could have waited for a few minutes to just redo that one part of the exam. No one offered. That one step would have made a big difference. That being said, this is a pretty friendly office that somewhat avoids making you feel like just another piece on a production line.

Dr. Eng is a consummate professional - she is attentive, and explains in detail the condition of my eyes and things I need to be aware of as I grow older and my eyes change. Dr. Hale is equally attentive and diligent, and the last visit, he went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and welcome.

The Doctors and entire staff are great. They do a thorough exam to make sure your eyes are healthy and you are seeing well. It also doesnt hurt that I work down the street so they are super convenient. Two of my co-workers also use the Orinda Optometry Group and are very happy with the service and care they receive.
