I"m John, Im 35 yrs. old and I live in Redondo Beach. Dr. Umar, in addition to being an incredible cosmetic dermatologist, is also somewhat of a pioneer in hair restoration surgery for men and women. After having a not-so-good experience in trying to get some of my hair back at what had been rated as a top hair restoration establishment in Beverly Hills, I was p.od after almost all of the implanted hair came out. Frustrated, I did not re-engage with them (who would?). However, still unfulfilled, I began scouring the internet again and came upon the selected video documentation of the procedures performed by Dr. Umar. I saw them and thought "Holy @#%$, hes good!" So, I decided to put my feet back in the water. I contacted Dr. Umar and his staff and made an appointment to see him. He reviewed my case in a way that was light-hearted yet precise, and I booked an appointment for a surgical procedure with him. Everything went as well as I could expect. Staff is friendly and accomodating, Dr. Umar is as scientific and clinical in his surgical methodology as he is artistic and creative in his choices to maximize the use of my donor hair to aid in the appearance of my new hairlines appearance. They have been tenacious in making sure that I follow up with them so as to ,make sure that progress was going as as expected and no abnormalities had occurred. I am happy to say Im thrilled with the results. Ill be making sure that Dr. Umar is my chosen specialist for any/all hair procedures and, given his quality of work, for any dermatological needs that I might have. I found the best surgeon Ive met, one that didnt fail me but instread renewed my belief that surgery can be of value when done by an expert, and to think: where he has patients that fly in to see him from around the United States and the world beyond it, he turned out to be right down the street! Talk about lucky...

My experience with Dr. Umar which consisted of a FUE hair transplant (utilizing my nape, beard and chest hair = 3,622 grafts in total) was extremely satisfying. I came from New Jersey to specifically have Dr. Umar perform my surgery. I have had four hair transplants over the past 15 years. However, Dr. Umar offers a service that utilizes hair from the entire body. Dr. Umar as well as his staff delivered an exceptional hair transplant surgery in the allocated time of three days. I healed without developing an infection and that is key. My surgery was performed in June 2017. The patient coordinator along with his surgical team were very helpful with pre-op and post-op process. I can not say enough about how well I was treated. Dr. Umar is all business and that is what I respect about him as a healthcare professional. His team performed like a well oiled machine with each member performing their role seamlessly. It is obvious they love what they do as they painstakingly placed each individual hair graft on my scalp. This review is real and I will stand by comments. Thank you again Dr. Umar and staff! Dr. Umar is a very professional surgeon. He restored my hairline and covered a scar from my previous strip surgery. Now i can actually wear a short buzz cut. Theres a wait line and it takes a month to book an appointment since hes very busy, but his prices are actually lower than what some surgeons charge you for using only your head hair and not body hair. Dr. Umar is definitely an artist. He knows how to create a natural looking hairline. In fact, my new hairdresser doesnt even have a clue that I underwent my surgery a year ago. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Umar and his staff are all professional and knowledgeable. I had a great experience. I came in for an AKN removal that Ive been having for years. The surgery was successful and my recovery time was fast. There isnt any doctor that can perform the AKN removal with unbelievable results, except for Dr. Umar. came for a laser (which is actually really cheap $250) and left with juviderm injection for my lips. Staff was courteous and very friendly. The most uncomfortable part of the process was numbing injections, Ive numbed my face before, but this time it was painful and uncomfortable. So far Im peeling which is a good sign. So far Im happy with the place.
