It has taken me 3 acupuncture treatments and continued benefits before I am taking the time to write this review. I have had acupuncture treatments in the past, but they were for curiosity and “spring cleaning”. I always thought that if something hurt like a muscle, the best treatment would be to have it massaged, and thats what I told Adolfo when I asked him about the massage he had listed as a treatment. I was in so much pain just walking a little bit, that I was willing to try anything. I had already had the tai chi and the hands on healing. And all the while I was asking the Universe to send me a “real” healer I didnt know he would have needles. But I was lead to the Eastern Medicine Center, where I met Adolfo Lopez, an unassuming type of persona until you touch on what he really is-- a gifted acupuncturist. Having a treatment under the hands of Mr. Lopez is just a little bit short of having an out of body experience. The environment is such that you can immediately relax. The smells and lights are just soft enough to allow you to release all tension and thoughts about the day. I know some immediately think needles=pain. Not so. Yes, you may be aware that you have a needle inserted – but its not the needle the family doctor sticks you with, and nor does it go deep into the body. He is gentle and calming with his bedside manner. What you will find while you are lying on the table and he has left the room, you are apt to fall asleep, as I did. That was the first session. The second treatment I was introduced to “cupping” no not “cuddling” - this was a treatment that stayed with me for a number of days. Powerful is all I can say. Overall I have enjoyed the treatments and the benefits that follow. I am able to walk with my dog around the park without the excruciating pain in my back and leg. Adolfo is a “real” healer posing in the guise of a gifted acupuncturist. If you need help, look no further.

I never dreamed that I could be pain free...but that is exactly the gift that Adolfo has given me! I had never had acupuncture before, and I didnt know what to expect. After 16 years of chronic back and nerve pain (starting when I was 19 years old), as well as frequent assorted orthopedic, hormonal, and general health issues, I had reluctantly accepted what doctors had been telling me for years: live with it. Im here to testify that it doesnt have to be that way! I was in for my third treatment today, and Adolfo continues to listen to me about what needs improvement as well as whats going well. I originally went in for pain relief, but he has also incorporated treatment aspects that have improved numerous facets of my life, including my rosacea (skin condition), skin clarity, hormonal concerns, and digestion. I didnt even realize acupuncture could do all of this. He is also very supportive of my efforts to lose a huge amount of weight, and he is including acupuncture treatment and nutritional counseling that has absolutely improved my weight loss and health journey. I finally feel good and I cant overstate the impact this has had on my life and the lives of my husband and young son. I truly enjoyed the experience. Dr. Lopez is awesome. I appreciate his education and the way he explained what was happening and what to expect--since it was my first time. (I had an acupuncture treatment). I found it to be quite a relaxing experience, more importantly afterward I truly felt a greater sense of well being and MORE ENERGY. I will come back!
