Overall, this is a great practice. But I feel the need to let others know about some of the negative things I experienced. First, the positive: The place is clean, modern, friendly. The front desk staff were friendly, competent, organized (very important to me) and compassionate. The techs were also very knowledgeable, the best Ive ever had. I saw Dr. Linton. The positive is that she was thorough, compassionate, took her time, didnt rush. She really seemed to have genuine sympathy for my pet and did many tests, put a lot of effort into diagnosing my pet. The negative was that she was not the best listener. She asked me over and over again if my pet was eating, each time I answered, "No," and then shed say something like, "Well, as long as shes eating, shes doing alright." Shes NOT eating! Then, she said wed do some blood work, with the panel costing $75. She went on about what were testing for and did do a good job explaining the eye to me. But when I went to pay, the bill was $813!! What she failed to explain was that not only was she ordering the $75 blood panel, but she was doing several OTHER blood tests not included in it. The bill included a few meds and the cost of the exam, which I was fine paying for, but all the tests were at least $550 when I was expecting $75. She came out and was kind enough to help me get the cost cut down a little, but I was in the middle of asking her something and she just kind of fluttered off. BUT, the tech came out and she helped me more, by helping me select which tests were really the most important. She and the front desk staff were great and understanding at helping me get the cost down. Aside from her poor communication, the other thing that bothered me about Dr. Linton was that she was not wearing gloves when she felt my pets anal glands and then she went right back to typing on the computer without washing them. That concerns me in a medical establishment where there can be communicable diseases. Despite all that, I would still recommend this place if your pet is having an eye issue. They are experts and will help your pet. I would just recommend being prepared to advocate for your bank account and to demand clarification if you get Dr. Linton, but I do think she is a knowledgeable and compassionate vet.

We wanted to reach out and thank you all for your care and concern related to the recent addition to our feline family, Thomas. After rescuing Thomas five months ago, we quickly learned of his eye disease during his initial checkup with Dr. Angela Priest at Cats Only Veterinary Hospital. She saw the severity of his problem and quickly called to get us an appointment with the Center. During those months, we experienced all the people that made a difference as we went through this journey. From the pleasant, positive ladies in the front office, to the caring and compassionate vet techs, we always had a great experience. Ultimately, however, we owe Dr. Gronkiewicz the most gratitude and cannot say enough about her! She is compassionate, kind, patient and a highly skilled doctor who saved Thomas’ eyesight. Just OUTSTANDING ! Throughout the five months that she worked with Thomas (and us!), we had many occasions to interact with her. She always took the time to answer all our questions completely, provide options, return phone calls and generally just make us feel that Thomas was in the best possible care. It was a long ordeal, but we are truly grateful that Dr. Gronkiewicz saved Thomas’ eyesight! Again, thanks to you and all your staff who made this experience with Thomas a successful one with a happy ending!

Our experience with Rocklin Eye Center was amazing. We were so worried before our appointment that our Cocker Spaniel would have to have her eye removed. Dr. Linton took such gentle care of our baby. We left knowing everything was going to be okay and that she didnt need surgery. Our cocker was prescribed the proper eye drops, and we were given simple instructions to take care of her. We returned to have her checked occasionally with all being okay. Our Chloe girl recently passed away from cancer, and we had received the most heartfelt, loving, sincere card expressing their condolences. That meant so much to our family. I will never forget that. I would absolutely recommend The Rocklin Eye Center to anyone that needs their services.

They gave us the wrong medication! We would have treated our dog with the wrong medication had we not read all packaging, labeling and dosing instructions VERY carefully. Also, our regular vet was very gentle and numbed our dogs eye before manipulating it, but the specialist here went right in and poked around although my dog squealed in what I assume was discomfort on an already red, swollen and sore eye. Surgery was performed quickly, however. I hope she recovers soon. The clinic and office is nice, but being given the wrong medication and not using the numbing drops right away did not instill the utmost confidence.

This is always a busy clinic and sometimes Ive waited there awhile but I feel my dogs always get good care. I take them annually for an exam required to determine whether or not their eye health is still good enough that they can be used as breeding stock, and the scheduler always builds in half an hour ahead of when we go in to see the dr., in order to get their eyes sufficiently dilated for the exam. I have been pleased with the exams given by the two drs. Ive seen there, Linton and Paglia, even though the results of the test havent always been what I wanted to hear!

Dr. Linton has been nothing short of amazing for my Bichon Frise, Lexi. At nine years old, Lexi suddenly developed cataracts and went blind within a couple of months. She was lethargic, depressed, and confused about her sudden inability to see. After Dr. Linton performed cataract removal and restored Lexis vision, she was like a puppy again. Lexi now loves to go to her check ups at the Animal Eye Center and adores Dr. Linton. On some level, I think she knows Dr. Linton gave her back her vision.

I have been taking my cats to Animal Eye Center Inc for almost 10 years now, and I cannot thank Dr. Linton, as well as the entire staff here, enough. They do a fantastic job recognizing what is going on with my cats, as well as keeping me informed throughout the whole process. I also love how they have even taken them in when there were a few emergencies. I appreciate all they have done!

Used to be good until one of the specialists left. I had an appointment at 3pm and didnt get roomed until 4:30! I had two toddlers with me...totally unacceptable. The waiting room felt like the heat was on and it was actually a hot winter day and they needed to turn the air on. Their excuse for the long wait was that there were 5 emergencies. Wont be going back.

The first time we were charged an emergency fee simply for getting a same-day appt. There was no emergency, but we werent told of this ridiculous policy. Dr. Paglia is very nice and competent, but I guess specialty vets know they can charge an arm and a leg. We spend more on our dogs eyes than on our own.
