Dr Tanghetti changed my life! I have struggled with melasma for years trying lasers peels and every face cream and face wash on the market. Spending thousands on all I tried. I was depressed and not living life to the fullest because of how bad my melasma was. I saw Dr Tanghetti and took his recommendation on what I should do. Also if it wasnt for the amazing girls in the skin care corner I would have not been using the right products. They make sure you are using what is good for your skin and go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. I live near Lake Tahoe and when I need products they even mail them to me! And whenever I call with any question or concerns everyone is so helpful and makes sure you understand everything completely. I have never been to a office where customer service is so above and beyond and for a dermatologist office this staff and Dr are amazing. I also see Kathy for Botox and fillers and could not be any happier with my results. I will travel over 3 hours just to go to Dr Tanghettis office because its worth the drive. My melasma is gone now and I cant thank Dr Tanghetti enough and the staff for making sure I am doing everything right. My life is definitely better because of this office and I have my confidence back that I had lost because of how depressing melasma can be. Anyone with melasma should see Dr Tanghetti and listen to the skin care corner. They all have it together. You can get everything taken care of in one office and thats a huge plus too. Kendra

My family has been coming to Dr. Tanghetti for over 20 years. He first treated my daughter for psoriasis when she was 15 and by the time she graduated from high school she was almost clear of it. He treats my husband for skin issues and he questioned a spot on my face that I thought nothing of since I thought it was an old chicken pox scar. It turned out to be a pretty aggressive skin cancer that had to be surgically removed. Had I not gone for my yearly check up with him it could have been much worse. He is an amazing doctor!!!! At each visit he is friendly, thorough, quick, and has a no non-sense approach to skin care. He also always asks about my family which means a great deal to me. He doesnt try to sell me on any procedure but listens to my questions and steers me in the right direction. The staff around him is also amazing!! Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I cant say enough about Dr. Tanghetti and his staff and I highly recommend them!! When I read the few negative reviews it totally surprises me as my experience has been just the opposite. I guess there will always be those people that are not happy for whatever reason. Dont let those reviews keep you from getting the best treatments ever from a cutting edge doctor and staff!

After having a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my face a couple of years prior I asked my primary care provider (PCP) for a referral to a dermatologist for a check to include what I though were several suspicious looking moles on my back. My PCP told me he could do the exam himself. He looked me over and told me I had nothing to worry about because he had seen many melanomas during his career and nothing I had looked suspicious. I did not feel good about his exam and asked a physician friend who he would recommend. He stated that Dr. Tanghetti was unequivocally the best dermatologist I could hope to find. I saw Dr Tanghetti who biopsied a mole on my shoulder which turned out to be a melanoma in situ requiring further excision to get wider clear margins. His diligence in recognizing and biopsing this "mole" quite literally probably saved my life, and at the very least has bought me many more years of life. His clinical skill in recognizing pathology is unmatched. I have since moved 900 miles north to Washington and still make the trip every 6 months to see Dr Tanghetti. I am a retired RN and has seen at least a half dozen other dermatologists for a variety of skin problems, and none of them come close to the level of skill that Dr Tanghetti has.

I have been a loyal patient along with my daughter for a long time,traveling from Bay Area to see him.My daughter began treatment for acne 2 years ago but till today the acne has not cleared.We went to our last resort and asked Dr Tanghetti to put my daughter on Acutane,knowing that it takes 6 months to complete the process.We decide to register in November so her face will be clear by june.In December I discovered that an error had occurred and Dr Tanghettis staff did not register my daughter with the I Pledge program,that means her treatment will be delayed by 1 month.I was very disappointed with Dr Tanghetti and his medical staff . It seems that I wasted two years trying to convince my daughter that Dr. Tanghetti is the best, how wrong was I.

Ive been seeing Dr. Tanghetti for years. I took my daughters there when they were teens with acne issues, rashes; one time it was a chlorine bleach burn the Dr. Tanghetti correctly diagnosed after an Urgent care office told her it was some horrible disease. My mother has seen him for years, age related skin issues, lumps and bumps (same with me). He has treated my husbands pre-cancerous spots. I live in SF now and although I have tried out a few dermatologists in the city, even one he recommenced, I still travel to Sacramento for all skin need (skin care and skin problems). He has a very good front office staff and team of nurses, plus the Skin Corner women are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Dr Tanghetti has been my dermatologist for about 5 yrs. I have found him and his staff to be very professional and meticulous in both examination and treatment of skin cancer. I credit Dr Tanghetti with the discovery of a tumor that had been ignored by my previous dermatologist. Due to his perseverance I was able to get an early diagnosis and treatment for non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I will always highly recommend Dr Tanghetti and his staff.

Dr. Tanghetti was very knowledgable and thorough during my appointment. I came to him for a second opinion regarding a diagnosis of Vitiligo. He verified my previous diagnosis, suggested appropriate medication and offered an affordable prescription option. My condition has since resolved almost entirely!
