I was referred to Dr Phillips by my wife when we first married. Shed been going to him for several years and spoke very highly of him. Initially, it was just a convenience move for me - closer to home, consolidated billing, etc. And then I met him. And his staff. And everything changed. I swear, if every medical/household relationship were like this life would be grand. I walk in the door and Im greeted by friendly staff that well, you know, REMEMBER me. AND my family. Usually Im there for a cleaning, so I have a most pleasant (yeah I used "pleasant" and "cleaning" in the same sentence) 45 minutes, followed by a review and strategy discussion with Dr. Phillips. Ive needed some crowns made and replaced and were about half way through the process. This is where the tech-guy side of me really gets excited. This guy has some wicked state-of-the-art design and fabrication equipment so you can get a crown designed (using digital imaging and CAD/CAM software) and constructed (by a super-accurate milling machine) while you wait. Then and there. Simply amazing. In summary my contention is that Dr. Phillips has the whole notion of customer/patient service down pat and that if you appreciate NOT being just another appointment on a log, youll do yourself a favor and give his team a test drive. Just dont take my appointments ;-D

Dr Phillips has been my dentist since I moved to Sacramento and although I have only had one filling and the usual cleanings twice a year, He has been an amazing help to the rest of my family, When my father was going through chemotherapy, his teeth were really bothering him and he was not able to chew. After a short visit with Doctor Dunn my dad and I went out for steak that night. Recently I brought my little brother in to get a checkup he needed some serious work done, Doctor Phillips recommended a specialist, but when he found out my brother did not have insurance he decided to do the procedure himself saving us a ton of time and money and getting the tooth fixed within the week. Every chance I get I recommend him, his professionalism, skill, and staff, have a harmony that makes the visits brief but very enjoyable, and the complimentary gourmet coffee machine in the lobby is nice touch. Be careful not to chit chat about trivial things with him, because he will remember and ask you about it six months down the road, It is embarrassing if you cannot recall what happened in your own life.

Ive been going to Dr. Phillips since 1998 (more recently Dr. Dunn as well) and have referred countless people (friends/family/coworkers) who have switched to East Sac Dental. Besides the fact that this has got to be the happiest dental office in the world (everyone always seems in a good mood and is very friendly), my 2 main reasons for loving this place are: 1. They do tons of charity work which I find truly commendable a. Every year they volunteer their time to help uninsured patients during a 4-day clinic. b. Helped out my roller derby league (the Sac City Rollers) get individually formed mouth guards because Dr. Phillips said that it will help prevent concussions; he also… c. Didn’t upsell me on in office teeth whitening for my wedding (10 years ago) by opting for a home solution that was not only cheaper, but those proceeds were also being donated. 2. They always have the newest technology on the market, and these toys/gadgets have made my life of dental appointments far less uncomfortable. I just can’t say enough good things about these doctors and their staff!

My regular dentist was on vacation when I developed a pretty intense toothache that would not go away. I went to dentists partner in the same office and he told me I needed to have a crown replaced and possibly a root canal. I got a second opinion from from Dr. Paul Phillips at East Sac Dental and his state of the art equipment showed that I had a slight sinus infection that was causing the pain in the root area of my upper molars! Wow! That just saved me a couple of grand and a lot of pain! And who knew my molar roots went into my sinuses!?! I have been going to East Sac Dental now for over 2 years and this is the most comfortable office, best dentists, best hygienists anywhere! It is a warm and welcoming office, extremely professional yet unpretentious. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now and love getting my cleanings and check-ups. I feel I am going to see a trusted advisor.

We were referred to Dr. Phillips by friends and have been going to him for several years now. I went to him during a trying 2 year period of cancer treatment and he made time for my appointments prior to my chemotherapy. Unlike many dentists, he doesnt push patients to do work that is unnecessary. He has helped my wife and I with fillings, replacing old veneers, and regular cleanings. He has a modern office and the people that work there are friendly and caring. I remember all of them coming in to check on me during my first follow up appointment after my treatments. They are so kind and committed to excellence. We have referred several of our friends and family members to Dr. Phillips over the past two years.

I love visiting East Sac Dental. I am a patient and so is my 4 year old son. My husband is scheduled for his first appointment in a couple weeks. Every staff member from the receptionist to dental assistants to dentists that I have been in contact with are warm, knowledgeable, patient with kids and willing to answer any questions. A great bonus is that the office is absolutely beautiful and modern, not sterile and intimidating like a traditional dental office. Its feels more like a visit to the spa than the dentist. East Sac Dental is not in my insurance network, but it is worth every extra penny i pay out of pocket to receive such stellar care.

Ive been living in Sacramento for 10 years, but drove to the Bay Area for all my dental appointments. I finally decided to get a dentist up here and was referred to East Sac Dental by a number of friends. I went there recently for not only a cleaning, but also some work that needed to be done. I LOVE THESE GUYS!! I had Barry Dunn and he and his dental assistant are AWESOME. The place is amazing, they walk you through everything, I am referring them to everyone I know!

My hygienist, Gina, was very nice, accurate, concerned, and did an amazing job on the deep root scaling I had to have done. She provided sunglasses as opposed to safety glasses which was pretty great. I just laid there for 3 hours listening to tunes and she did her thing to perfection. Thank you Gina! Also, thank you Chuck and Paul for assisting and stopping in to make sure I was okay, respectively. Overall great experience for something I was quite scared about.

Dr Phillips is awesome! I have always had a fear of dentist and dental work as through the years I was never able to find a dentist that understood my anxiety. I was refered to Dr Phillips by a co-worker and he is the first dentist I truly trust. He is very patient and always keeps the clients best interest in mind. His staff is amazing and they are always willing to work with you. I really appreaciate Dr Phillips and his staff.
