After a very difficult and painful night for my dog, I had to put her to sleep yesterday and the folks at Amici Pet Hospital were very professional and sympathetic. I probably made some people there uncomfortable with all my emotion, but I cant say enough about the care and attention they gave to my dog and me. I could tell that it was an extremely busy morning for them, yet they still made me and my dog feel like a priority. These people are pet owners themselves and know how difficult it is to make these kind of decisions. Over the past few weeks, Dr. Saltzman was exceptionally good at providing me with all my options, helping me to make the best decisions during this incredibly difficult time. She is truly a gift to the community. During my dogs life, I never felt like I was paying for unnecessary care or drugs like at some other clinics. Doctor Saltzman has even called me during off hours to check up on my dog and to offer additional advice. I really dont think she does this out of obligation, but rather genuine care for animals. Once, when I was in the waiting room, I over-heard one of the staff on the phone making an after hours appointment for Dr. Saltzman to come in on her time off to see a dog - just because she thought the situation was too important to wait until regular business hours. I hope the owner of that dog appreciates the care he or she was receiving. Hands down, the best veterinarian Ive taken my dog to in the eleven wonderful years we were together. Thank you to everyone at Amici Pet Hospital for making the end as comfortable for my dog (and me) as we could hope for.

Drs Van Lom and Saltzman are the best!!!! I cant say enough of these 2 fantastic, loving, devoted, compassionate, professional, genuine, dedicated but most of all competent souls! They each have saved my dogs life on several occasions, most recently, this week! Each of them have the scientific and medical training, let alone the hands on experience needed to care for our pets. I have been through countless vets, and none have had the diverse knowledge base these 2 have. They are not afraid to think outside of the box, and treat with home remedies, rather than sell you a $60 prescription, if they think your animal will fair better on that. They are not driven by money like most vets! Each of them have called me at home at night and on weekends to check in on ME and my dog! Not caring the other one has already called; They want to ensure we are okay! Their follow up is unprecedented! They are amazing women, with amazing compassion and heart and soul! My dog has so many health issues, that I dont know if she would still be here if it werent for these 2 incredible vets! They know my dog is a service dog and go out of their way to make her comfortable when I can not be present for her procedures! I cant say enough! I love them for saving my DOLLY!!!

I took my dog here because he was limping and unable to put weight on one of his legs. After the doctor came in and looked at my pup, he said that he felt inflammation in the hip but nothing was torn and the acl was fine. He brought up that it could be a serious bone infection or even cancer, but the only way to tell would be x-rays. I told the vet we would try the meds and bed for two weeks and then look into x rays. My dog was still having trouble after the two weeks and so I went to have the xrays done. The doctor told me that if there was anything unusual they would send out the x rays to an outside office to also look at them and it was an extra fee. When the doctor finally called me back (almost a week later!) He said that there was nothing showing up, just inflammation in the knee and that it was probably a torn acl. After being told originally that it wasnt his acl and having to pay extra for xrays that showed nothing, I will not be going back.

Dr. Allen and all of the techs are wonderful! I have two pups that love everyone in the office. They are always friendly and you can tell they have a lot of love for animals. Its a bit pricey, but that could just be the difference in pet care that I have seen since moving to California from Alabama. I tried a few other places before deciding on Amici and it was the perfect choice. I have a nine year old pup, as well as a three year old, and they treat them based on their age and history, not just generic findings. Amici also gives you estimates of the cost of certain treatments and lets you choose before proceeding. This is wonderful and they make sure they support and recommend the perfect treatment for your pet.

I highly recommend Amici Pet Hospital! The staff is incredibly helpful, kind and knowledgeable. We had a sick pet going into a weekend and were concerned about having to wait until Monday to get her in to be evaluated. Even though we didnt have an appointment, Amicis awesome staff was able to work us in during their busy Friday and follow up with us on Saturday to see how our pet was doing. Every interaction weve had with Dr. Van Lom and the staff at Amici Pet Hospital - whether its routine office visits or this urgent situation - has been exceptional! Im so glad to have such a wonderful vet nearby!

Amici is a fabulous vet hospital and for routine care. Dr. Saltzman and Dr. Van Lom are AMAZING. They care so much about not just your animal, but also you as a mom or dad. Ive received calls from both of them after-hours and weekends about my pups bloodwork. To know that they care so much to let me know the results as soon as they know, is wonderful! All the staff are great with my pup, too. They put her at ease when we arrive by petting her and playing with her so she wont be so nervous about being there. We are so glad Amici is close to home!

Although the staff all seem friendly, it never comes across as genuine. (Think...stepford-wife meets a vet.) Be prepared to always fend off the "upsell". It definitely feels like they care more about making money and not about your pet. I stuck it out for a year to give them a shot. Everyone has off-days and I wanted to make sure I was giving them a fair shake. Im glad other people had positive experiences and Im not knocking that. By all means, go where you feel comfortable. Were just not happy with their services.

Amici is a great vet hospital. Every staff member takes a personal interest in your pet and remembers details about their needs and personalities. I also appreciate how the doctors explain everything in terms one can understand and they offer different options, always highlighting the least aggressive but most effective option. I really like that they call and check up after every appointment, no matter how minor the issue. Just excellent service all around.

Dr Van Lom & Dr Saltzman are fabulous, friendly and super compassionate. Theyre so good in fact that we followed them across town and even drove 1 hour after we moved outside of the city. Its hard enough when your pet is sick, but to have someone who actually cares, spends time listening to your concerns and is knowledgeable is a bonus. In addition to them being arguably the best vets ever - Amici is a beautiful, clean and awesome facility.
