Background: Ive been seeing Dr. Chua at Almaden Phys for some years and have been generally satisfied. Today I needed to be seen right away for an eye problem, so they were able to book me with Dr. Ilic. It starts out with her asking very annoying questions like what have been eating/going any differently, what did you have for breakfast (bread), what did you have for lunch (chicken with rice) at which point I tell her Ive been doing nothing differently over the past two days. She then has the audacity in a condensending way to say, "well I guess you dont want to talk to me about these things, so I think we should just do a physical examination." At which point, I ask her, "excuse me what are you talking about?" She quickly started to turn this into an argument when all Im doing is trying to get a diagnosis and treatment. It gets better. Next she says, I need to have a nurse assistant be in the room with us during your exam. It was like I was being interogated by the police and she needed someone there as a witness. Unreal! She then checks me out and chalks up my eye that looks like I had a 15 round boxing match to "allergies" and then prescribes me 2 antibiotics, benadryl, claratin and whatever else she could find. Essentially this told me she had no clue what was wrong with me, so lets just prescribe everything under the sun and one of them may work. I am now going to see an eye specialist who can hopefully diagnose what I have. Word to the wise: if they try and schedule an appt with this Dr. Ilic run to the hills as fast as possible. If you have to go there, Dr. Chua has good bedside manners at least and generally takes care of my issues.

Appointments are phone tag. No one answers the telephone. I made an appointment with Action Urgent Care near OSH on Blossom Hill and a nice person answered immediately and took our appointment down. No telephone tag!

Looks like they had problems in the past but Ive never had any problems getting a hold of someone and scheduling since I started using them last October. Dr Ettinger has been great too!

Love my doctor there, but its nearly impossible to ever get anyone on the phone. Just waited 10+ minutes with a question about urgent care and listened to a recording the entire time.

I like my doctor, Jeffrey Ettinger, a lot, but the procedure for making an appointment is predicated on phone tag, which is completely ridiculous in the 21st century.
