This review is not about Dr. Michelle or Pete Contini. My son has been seeing Dr. Michelle for the past five years and we are satisfied with the doctor. This review is about the two girls at the reception desk. They are not attentive and not professional at all. They dont seem to care about their patients and hard to approach when you step in the waiting room. However, I wasnt bothered too much until below two cases happened. When I called to make an appointment for my sons annual physical checkup this year, the receptionist asked if I knew my insurance requires me to wait a full calendar year for the next physical. I told them I didnt know. She requested me to call my insurance to confirm. When I told her that usually at other doctors office, the office takes care of such inquiries. She responded that she was too busy and such calls take too much of her time. Isnt this part of your job and what you are paid for? I hope they realize that they are asking their patients to do their job. Another time when I called to make an appointment for a sick visit for my son in the morning. I was told that Dr. Michelle is out of the office that day and the nurse practitioner would be able to see my son in the morning. I cleared my morning calendar and took my son there but was told that the nurse practitioner was busy till later in the afternoon. I told them that my sons temperature has been above 100 for four days and we will have to be out of town for a few days the next day. They didnt care much and just told me that they just cant accommodate us even through it is an mistake on their side. This office is close to where we live and the doctor is satisfactory. However, I am looking for another pediatrician just to avoid the two rude, indifferent and unprofessional girls at the reception. Hope the doctors realize how these girls are impacting their patients and the offices image.

We had been visiting Doctor Michelle for a year and I decided not to visit her again due to a recent visit. We visited her because my daughter had some fever at around 100 F degree and little coughing. And she checked her with a stethoscope around her lung area and diagnosed her as pneumonia infection and prescribed antibiotic for ten days! I havent realized whats wrong with it until my friends kids in the same classroom talked about the recent virus in the class and found out that several kids suffer the same symptom but no one was diagnosed as pneumonia, not even prescribed antibiotics. I think antibiotic abuse is horrible and potential harm to her body is hard to say. If a qualified doctor think abuse of antibiotics is acceptable, I can hardly agree. Never visit or trust her again!!

Weve been going to Almaden for a year. Its so easy to get an appointment because the desk and nurse staff are so efficient. Dr. Michelle is so caring and thought with our boys. When I leave the office I always know exactly what I need to do and how to move forward. Love these guys!

My son has been seeing Dr. Pete for almost 7 months now and Ive never been so happy with a doctor. He is understanding, patient, gives good advice, and is open minded. The office is nice and the typically runs on time which is a major plus.
