Did an AWEFUL job on my sons circumcision. Seeing that we had to pay out of pocket $375 for a cosmetic procedure that my son will have to live with the REST of his ENTIRE LIFE- he did a really sloppy job. My sons circumcision has extra foreskin that I still pull back to clean and its not even a straight cut. This may be my first son, but, in my opinion he also took forever to finish the procedure. I watched several videos on the different types of circumcision procedures before going in and none of them took longer than a few minutes and none of the kids screamed like mine did. My Littles wouldnt even take the sugar water dipped pacifier because he was screaming so much. Dr Mahdavi used the Plastibell technique. Apparently there are other pediatrician offices locally that can perform circumcision, I wish I had researched it more before just blindly trusting sons current pediatrician. SHOP AROUND before deciding which Dr to perform this lifelong procedure on your son. If you love your baby boy and actually want him to have a quick procedure with the best possible outcome, I would NOT recommended Dr Mahdavi. Maybe as a general pediatrician because he had really nice bedside manners and took the time to explain things but NEVER to have another surgery EVER!!!

Just getting Dr. Mahdavis info for my teens consent forms and I saw the negative review. I have three teenagers and all of them love Dr. Mahdavi. He has a love and passion for his calling. My son was not circumcised so the only thing I can say on that issue is ask any parent why participate in an out dated practice of genital mutilation? On another note a neighbor who had Dr. Mahdavi as a pediatrician for her daughter dropped because he was too busy. Most children who go see him love him. Good luck getting set up with him because he is so respected in this community that his practice is almost full. That speaks volumes as to how well he is liked.

And they are lucky to receive one star, only because I had to mark it. Staff was polite, yet very inefficient. I called to schedule a newborn appointment for my week old baby girl. Long story short, her sensitive jaundice condition has been overlooked because of their inability to proper inform their potential patients of crucial information such as the insurance in which they accept. This is information that is usually dealt with before the actual appointment to be considerate of a persons time and in some cases, health sensitivities. The office was also small and not very family oriented, but I guess if its your last resort, its a doctor.
