Nothing like it in the SF Bay Area - Half coffee froyo bar half optometry office. I come here annually to get my eyes examined. The staff (calls a month in advance to set up the appt, then calls the day before to remind) and Dr Nguyen are extremely attentive. Clear Optometry carries all the cool, hip brands like Chanel, Prada, Salt, Paul Frank. Minimalism comes to mind when you walk into this place. The place has white walls / floors with dark wood and lots of white orchids. They have their annual frames trunk show in June with a live DJ, food, drinks and usually carries up to 3 brands entire collection to try. They do take VSP insurance. As part of being a patient while you come in to get your your eyes examined, the office manager hands you a coupon for a cup of coffee (Blue Bottle), milk tea, or a small froyo with choice of mochi bits. How cool is that?! The froyo comes in Asian flavors such as lychee and green tea among the amazing tasting flavors. I look forward to receiving my annual appointment call from the office manager.

As an Ohio native, I become a huge fan of clear optometry the second splurged and spent $12 on a pint. clear optometry is a bit pricier than your average ice cream shop, but the unique blends of flavors and quality of ingredients definitely is worth it. Stopping at the clear optometry storefront had been on my list for while, and last Thursday, I happened to find myself on Southport for lunch and made it my mission to stop by afterwards. The girl working behind the counter was generous with the samples, and I got to try a few new to me flavors--the goat cheese & cherries is amazing! I ended up going with the Bangkok Peanut & Lavender for my bowl. The flavor combinations are very interesting. I didnt love either, but they were definitely fun to try!

good yogurt bad optometry. I was first told that I have a major eye injury and that I should go see a specialist. 30 minutes later I get the call from the doctor saying oh i googled and looked at the images, it seems like you are ok. Really? $200 frame (after insurance) started falling apart in a month. The lens pops out often. Dont waste your money and time.

Wonderful cold brew iced coffee and lychee frozen yogurt from an eyeglass store. Yes, you read that correctly...this is the first optometry/coffee shop Ive ever seen, and I was really impressed with their Blue Bottle iced coffee. Five stars for the coffeeshop side of this dual-purpose shop.

The best froyo in the Bay Area, and the best mochi topping too. Yes, its also an optometrist shop. I had an eye exam here and ordered contacts and glasses. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. But come for the froyo. Its amazing.

Not only the best frozen yogert in the bay (perfectly tart, not too sweet), but also the only eye-glass/optometrist/frozen-yogert/slow-drip-coffee combination store I know of. If your in SM, you must stop by here.
