I found Rockridge Optometry on the Vision Service Plan (VSP) website and was able to get an appointment the very next day. The eye exam went smoothly and I was impressed by Dr. Cindy Sakai. She communicated clearly about each procedure and asked if I had questions before moving on to the next. Additionally, the receptionist was helpful and efficient. She explained how to use a free sample product and offered to mail me my prescriptions so I could shop for lenses elsewhere. There was one small problem that makes me give 4 stars instead of 5: the price I had to pay for the exam was 25% higher than what they told me over the phone: $38 instead of $30. Its only $8, but I asked for a thorough description of prices before making an appointment.

Been going to Dr. Larry Sarver for over 20 years and even when moved from Rockridge to Lafayette, both my husband and I chose to continue seeing him. He is personable, thorough, and has a high level of expertise. He was so helpful when i made the decision to have lazer surgery years ago. The staff are great, they have an array of glasses, and the location is fun because it allows for some walking in Rockridge again. Always would recommend this Optometry.

Ive been going to Dr. Yokoi for 12 years. Hes simply the best. Thorough, thoughtful, and precise. My eyes are going through inevitable changes, and hes helped me navigate different contact lenses, reading glasses, and eye care. I trust him to give me thorough exams, detect possible problems, and always walk away with the right prescription. If youre looking for an excellent Optometrist, hes it.
