I am writing about vision exam. I cant believe this place gets a 5 star for eye exam. Doctor and staff were impatient and the doctor was rude as well. Their exam was quick and without patience. I asked for verification (because the results were surprising and were obtained quickly), doctor mentioned she will not do it. The staff acted the same when I asked her for verification in some part. Explanations were minimal, impatient and were given reluctantly. I have always been diagnosed astigmatic, but she did not mention it. I did not see her to exam me for it. I have never had such a bad eye exam. My exam showed that I have poor color vision. She did not mention it to me until I asked about it. Her expression was: "you are colorblind" with some contempt. When I asked more details, she was not telling me anything! She mentioned that I might have an issue with my eye that might make me blind in future and referred me to a specialist after asking about my insurance. I was very suspicious of this assessment. This was the only part that she explained to me. I wasted my insurance eye exam. I dont trust the exam.

I recently moved to San Jose from Phoenix, AZ - all I went in for was to get new frames as I had a previous prescription from back home in Arizona. From the SUPER friendly staff to the number of brand name frames were a plus! They explained my benefits and got me the most out of it I could. The day I picked up my frames, my 1 year old son got a hold of them and broke them. I went in a few days later (when I had time) and they offered me a reasonable discount in buying the same frames. Very excellent and professional place. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I agree with the other 2 users, this is a horrible place. The doctor is a really rude person. I had a really bad experience with her. She order the wrong prescription for my contacts lenses and she doesnt want to correct the error. She want me to pay for another pair of boxes out of my pocket! Also, be aware that this place is ridiculous expensive. You can find the same glasses and contact lenses at least 40 to 50% less in other places. Please stay away, they only care about billing to your insurance and then charge extra!

Horrible service .. I went with eye pain and Dr. Tammy H. Tran checked and gave steroids saying eye inflammation. And the reason she mentioned was auto immune. I visited 2 other doctors after that for second opinion . Both said I dont have any auto immune problem and inflammation. Due to dye eyes I had the pain . For a month I was in a mental stress thinking about auto immune disease. Waste of time and co-pay.

Very nice place. Great doctor. I have been their patient for over five years and they take care of my whole family. They are available and always ready to help. Make sure you ask for Dr. Tran, whos a great ophthalmologist. I know that in the past they have had some trouble with substitute doctors, which might explain the few negative reviews.

Very bad place My glasses frame broken twice so its no good quality and I dont recommend this And very expensive And they dont providen the glasses tissue and spray to creaned ?!!!!! And I no the only one I see other women that she. Was complaining for the same

The Doctor here is friendly and personable. They are open on the weekends, so getting an appointment is convenient. The staff is also very friendly and will help navigate through your insurance. Parking here can be a challenge, since it is Rivermark Plaza.
