The good: The receptionists and vet assistants are professional and pleasant. The bad: The vet, Kevin S. Littlehale is not very accommodating. I have speech impediments and he failed to show concern on what I was saying regarding my pet bird, "I cannot follow thru" was his remark in response to one of my concerns, revealing that It was a burdensome experience to have me as a client. I understand it can be frustrating to talk to someone seemingly talking gibberish (not my fault, it is a physiological issue) but he could of asked someone else for help to decipher my concerns, or take the time and ask me to write them down; after all this was my appointment slot I paid $75 for. The vet failed to endure the entire 10 or so minutes of this appointment without showing signs of frustration. On the other hand, the receptionist was able to communicate with me without major trouble. It was evident that I was unwelcome. He left without disclosing he was leaving, I still had a question but he did not care, he only cared that the appointment slot was over and poof! he disappeared. I want a partial or full refund for this appointment, it was not a pleasant experience.

Santa Clara Pet Hospital, all the staff and all the doctors have done a wonderful job for our family of dogs and cats over the past 13 years. We had a 14 yr old Golden who recently passed an old Siamese who passed at around 20 yrs and one 10 year old Shiba Inu dog who passed from Bone cancer. We currently have a Siamese who is 11 and three Shibas, one who is almost 13 yrs young and a 2 & 1 yr old. They have always taken the utmost care with our animals old and young. They have done operations, OFA XRays, installed micro-chips, teeth cleaning, lasered hotspots, neutering as well as boarding and dog show grooming over the years for us. I highly recommend Dr Littlehale and his team to anyone looking for top notch animal care specialist in Santa Clara !! The Shaw Family

I brought my very sick rabbit in for an appointment here. Dr. Littlehale was straight forward with a diagnosis and a treatment plan, while being realistic at the same time. Staff treated and monitored my boy for the day, and released him to me in the afternoon for continued care and treatment. There were no guarantees my rabbit would survive, but he did go on to make a full recovery. Dr. Littlehale checked in with me along the way, which I really appreciated. The staff at SCPH were great to deal with all around, and genuinely caring. I highly recommend this vet hospital to anyone seeking excellent service for their animals. Its also a huge plus that they are very experienced with small animals and exotics, which is not the case at many vets.

If your pet is like a member of your family, you will want Dr. Littlehale and his professional team to take care of his/hers health issues. I cant say enough good about the loving care and medical expertise that my dog received while under Dr. Littlehales care. He listened to my pets concerns, made recommendations, prescribed treatment,and stayed in communication with me--checking on my dogs progress. I was so impressed with the details of the care-at-home instructions and the follow up check-ups. Check out their web-site--and all that they profess to be, is so true--200%. They are the BEST!

Ive been taking my dog to Santa Clara Pet Hospital for nearly 10 years. Dr. Littlehale, Dr. Lawrence, and Dr. Ansorge have each cared for my pet over the years. At each visit, Ive always felt that my pet is getting the attention and professional care that she deserves. All issues and treatments are always clearly explained to me. And everyone that works here has always been welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I would highly recommend this veterinary facility.

Dr. Littlehale was amazing. He accurately diagnosed my dogs autoimmune disease, sent us to a specialist, then did the follow up care which saved us money. He is consistently excellent in follow-up care calling us after each visit and even reminding us when she needs a change in her medication. If it wasnt for his excellent care, our dog would not be alive today. Thanks!

One and only! Dr Lawerence is the best, very kind and knowledgable. Doctors were not pushing for surgery, and were reaching out for second opinion when in doubt. They have "day care" for your pets too, decent web site to track stuff and make appointments. Prices are reasonable as well, our two cats cost us about 2 hundreds a year for annual health appointments.

Lived in Santa Clara and in a few other places, Ive tried other places and I keep coming back to these guys. They were able to handle my very dominating German Sheppard, and they are able to be realistic and honest about the cost of the care, which I appreciate. Love this place! Our tortoise is taking antibiotic injections every 3 days and I cant do it myself. He was seen at a vet in Roseville but we are back in the bay area and I was lucky enough to find this facility. The staff is awesome! I highly recommend Santa Clara Pet Hospital!

The staff and Vets here are friendly and knowledgeable. We have been bringing our pets here for years, and cannot recommend them enough. They also are specialized in rabbit care; rabbits are not easy pets to care for or treat, and having a specialist can make all the difference.

Some of the best care you can find for your pet. Caring staff and Doctors. If you travel with your pet they know just about everything about where youre going and what needs to happen for your pet to join you in the adventure. A little pricey-but you get what you pay for.

This hospital is employed with the best doctors in the area. I took my dog there yesterday for an appointment which was made earlier that day with no hitches or delays and she was thoroughly examined. I would recommend this place for all pet owners!
