My wife and I woke up to find our cat could no longer walk properly. Her back legs were wobbly and she hobbled around with her toes curving under her back paws. We knew it was time, so we made the difficult decision to have her euthanized. She was 18 years old, deaf, and had recently gone blind. Also, she could no longer find the litter box. This was a minor problem; we laid large plastic bags with newspapers on top in the corner of the garage that she “picked”. Mentally preparing ourselves, we made the appointment at North Creek Pet Hospital. Before they would euthanize our pet, they needed to do an exam. (READ - before this revenue stream disappeared, they wanted to soak us for one more physical exam. After all, it’s easy; people are very emotional when it comes to their pets, and they aren’t thinking clearly at a time like this) We desired a quick and quite procedure for our pet, but the exam got us off to a bad start. The weight check was simple. However after that, the technician wanted to check her temperature rectally. Of course, even our tired old lady cat objected when the tech grabber her tail and attempted to shove the thermometer up her… Our experience with Dr. Alisa Huckell was not any better. The vet looked at her teeth, and then began poking our cat’s ribs and back legs. She instructed my wife to stand back so she would not get scratched as our cat was now hissing and growling. The vet explained blood tests and x-rays were appropriate to determine what was wrong with the cat. (READ – you are emotional right now; we can soak you for some very expensive testing) We left shortly after the vet suggested it could be a brain tumor. The cat was 18 years old, blind, deaf, and crippled – she wanted to operate? Based on our cat’s current quality of life, we were ready to do the right thing. What we received from the vet was a one last money grab thinly veiled in a guilt trip. There is nothing that disgusts me more than a sales pitch that plays on a person’s fears and emotions. This vet is either a despicable human being or an outright incompetent. If you want your pet’s final moments to be in torment, I highly recommend these bloodsuckers. If you prefer to be treated with dignity and respect when making the decision to say goodbye to your close friend then look elsewhere.

I took both my cats in to see Dr Alisa Huckell for exams because Cali was losing weight. She is 9-1/2. She took blood and said all was ok. She just pushed for teeth cleaning for $$ but no mention of any problems. I left after she said all was ok with both cats. After a few weeks Cali was not better and I requested copies of the blood on Cali. It showed her WBC and Lymph to be very low. After calling for explanations of this she blew it off as nothing. Concerned I took Cali to Canyon Pk Vet and after another blood draw was found to still have low WBC etc and has a urinary infection and also 2 of her teeth were so bad she needed to have them pulled! She is on antibiotics and much happier now!! I am extremely upset with misdiagnose of Cali and it seems Dr. Huckell has a very expensive office to pay for with the fireplace etc. Her charges are outrageous and just because a vet has a fancy office does not make a good vet and I would rather pay for competence. Dr. Vaugen is the best. She may not have a fancy office but she is good.

i used to go to this clinic for three years with dr Black , she was the only valuable person there, she was all the time taking care on my three chihuahuas and at the same time caring my budget .UNFURTENELY SHE IS GONE :( . Because dr Huckell Is not honest , she doesnt love animals , SHE LOVES MONEY , she find a surgery reason all the times , and doesnt care about owners feelings. RECEPTIONISTS are completely incompetence people, my last call to this place was horrible, i called them because my dog was on labor , and i tough she was on trouble to deliver , so i asked them if they could chek her, and the answer was, DOCTORS ARE AT LUNCH ,and they sent me to the emergency, can you believe this??????????? i suppose they have always a vet available all the time, and when i asked for dr Black , , and they told me about she was gone i just felt sad because is not easy to find a doctor like her , she really loves animals and she was a 100% honest person , sweet !!! :p

I have taken my three cats to North Creek for the past three years. The staff is courteous and helpful. Their prices are reasonable. The Drs - and Ive seen every one - listen well and consult with me about treatment options and the cost for every procedure. Dr. Bruhn recently saved me hundreds of dollars by suggesting a lesser-known test for my cats heart murmur. The techs and receptionists are exceedingly helpful at answering questions, relaying messages to doctors, coordinating medication and fitting me in if I have an emergency. They dont offer medical supervision for animals overnight, so an emergency hospital is recommended when my pet needs round-the-clock supervision. All in all, I am extremely pleased with North Creek Veterinary Hospital. They treat my pets as kindred family members, just as I do.

I am new to the area, and used their Free Exam Coupon from their website to check them out. My cat Simon who usually hates the vet, was really good in this facility. They have Cat Only exam rooms, and separate Dog Exam rooms. This was great, and really made a difference to our cat being comfortable. The minute Dr. Black came into the room, she got down to his level, and greeted him nose to nose, and that was it, our cat was good for the rest of the exam with her. I couldnt believe it!! Dr. Black was very thorough, as well as personable. My husband and I both agree that the facility was clean, the rest of the staff was quick, efficient, as well as friendly. We left with a great feeling about the clinic, and will be bringing our new puppy in for care with Dr. Black as well.

Excellent staff. My husbands family has taken their dogs there for years and loves the staff there. We took our first dog there as well when we first got her. After our dog died, we informed North Creek Pet Hospital that we would not be in for an upcoming appointment. About a week later, we got a letter in the mail thanking us for a donation made in our dogs name to a teach vet. hospital. We found out that the vets office had made the donation in our name after learning of our dogs death. We now take our current dog there and wouldnt go anywhere else. They have been available to give advice over the phone, shown a lot of love to her when she has gone in for exams and have even gotten her in for an emergency inbetween appointments. We will continue to go there for our vet needs.
