Yesterday I almost lost my pup due to the carelessness of the Bothell Pet Staff. While taking my dog to have her nails trimmed, a tech removed her collar and leash before securing her on a lead and my dog darted out an open door and ran into traffic and could have been killed. A tech came into the exam room and told me my dog got out. I ran through traffic to find my pup roaming the streets of Bothell terrified. Luckily she came back to me unharmed. The kicker is that they have had others dogs escape in the streets and have taken no precautionary measures to prevent this from happening in the future. I have been a loyal and longtime customer and unless they train their team and secure the exits better, I am gone as a customer. There is no excuse for this type of thing happening, let alone more than once. Shame on the owners and leadership team of Bothell Pet.

I had to take my dog here in an urgent but not emergency situation. I didnt have an appointment and it was a Friday and they were very busy but they allowed me to leave my dog and the office staff was very friendly and explained exactly what to expect. Dr. Kim Hsu introduced herself and told me that she would be looking at my dog and would give me a call with details and she followed through on exactly what she said she was going to do. I feel like I received excellent care and they gave me an estimate of the cost and gave me the options of whether I wanted the blood work, x-rays, external lab reading, etc. I will definitely return. When a pet is very sick you want competence, efficiency, friendly vet and office staff, flexibility and understanding and thats exactly what I got. Thank you!

Bothell Pet Hospital has always been good to our dogs. The staff are very caring and pleasant to deal with and never appear to be in a hurry to get you out of there. Our recent visit was our most challenging due to the fact that we had to put our amazing dog, Irie down. She lived for 14.5 awesome years with us and her memory will live with me forever. I miss her so much! Anyway, the staff, as usual, were very thoughtful during this time and didnt treat us or Irie like a number. They seem to genuinely care. We even received a sympathy card from Bothell Pet Hospital about a week after Iries departure along with paw prints. The card was signed by a lot of staff members along with little notes. Pretty nice touch during a tough time of mourning. Thank you Bothell Pet Hospital!

Update on Val...our 12 yr old Grtr. Swiss Mountain dog. He is doing GREAT! Val is 12 and is acting like 6. Just when we thought wed have to make that "final" awful decision because he stopped eating due to HGE...he turned around and began to eat. Without Dr. Kovars diligence and excellent veterinary care and her positive attitude (as always), we would probably have lost our baby. Another thing we love about Dr. Kovar is the fact that she is available. She makes time to take a call from a worried owner or answer a question or suggest another course of action. She always remembers to give a call back at the end of her busy day and genuinely cares about her patients. That makes ALL the difference to worried "parents" like us. Many thanks! Ive been taking my cats to Bothell Pet Hospital for more than a decade, and they have always been the kindest, most compassionate and professional people you could ever want to encounter. They helped me nurse two elderly cats through their later years and provided gentle and caring end-of-life services that truly helped me get through the grief of losing dear companions, one of whom was more than 21 years old. Since then, Bothell Pet Hospital has been our go-to place for the health care needs of our two cats, litter-mates we adopted nearly five years ago. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kim Hsu and Dr. Shannon Smith as well as the friendly and helpful staff and technicians who provide excellent care for their patients and their humans alike.

Good morning; Debby and I started going to the Bothell Pet Hospital when it was all men in the veterinary positions. Yes, at one time it really was. The doctors and the clinic staff have been there with us through the good times, the bad times, and the end times with our cats. Even the staff personnel in the front office and in the back, must be mentioned because they have also come to know us and our cats over the years. They, like our cats, have been "part of the family." They have diagnosed and treated the maladies our cats have experienced, and they have been there with us when there was no longer any effective treatment left, but even then, they were still with us. They are good people. Ralph, Latté Land, Washington

I am fairly new to the Bothell, WA area and needed to take my dog to see a vet. A friend of mine and my daughter recommended the Bothell Pet Hospital. Roxie is a 13 years old long-haired Doxie, and she had a huge growth on her ear. I thought it was a tumor. Luckily, I was able to get in to see Dr. Wichert, who was friendly and extremely understanding. Knowing my fears, Dr. Wichert took Roxie into another room to examine her. An assistant came back after just a few minutes to update me. When Dr. Wichert returned, it was all very good news. She suggested some additional tests and called me personally the very next day with the results. Choosing a good vet is just like choosing a good pediatrician. I will definitely be back!

I moved here with my human family and 2 older dogs from the East Coast in 1979 and a Shoreline neighbor suggested Bothell Pet Hospital to me. I have been very happy about the care my dogs have received over almost 40 years. I had a special veterinarian ... who retired, and the second vet I had my dogs see was also amazing! These professionals know their business, really love animals (including the front office staff), and are willing to explain technical terms ... and explain some more ... and some more. Im an analytical person so appreciate knowing whats "really" going on re pet care. After all, our pets ARE part of our family, and we want them to have to best care possible. This is a great facility with an amazing staff.

I am so thankful that we have BPH in the community. Our dog always gets the best care that it could ask for whenever we need to take him in. Our German Shepard jumped from my car and broke his hips. When we took him to the emergency, we were told that he needed a surgery and that it would cost 6K. We took him in and Dr. Kovar operated him for aloig 1/6th of the price. Now, for the most part weve even forgotten that he got a surgery. Our little guy hikes almost every week and just this weekend he hiked 10 miles. He is beyond recovered. The staff at BPH are equally hospitable. They are professional and courteous. We are extremely happy with all aspects of the hospital. Thank you BPH family.
