I have had a truely wonderful outcome following a lunch time walk-in, last chance, 2nd opinion inquiry. My Daughters two year old indoor cat had became very ill in a matter of 2 days time. We are new to the area and had not yet established ourselves with a vet. As it was the weekend and things were looking grim I contacted a local animal hospital. I desribed the symptoms and was instructed to bring the cat in immediately. 4 days and $2,800 later we took our cat home. I never felt as though we were properly educated on the severity of his condition nor what to expect. They ran a lot of blood and kidney tests but there was nothing meaningful in the results as they were explained to me. I was given oral medications and an IV to administer and the instructions we were given were followed at home. Several days had passed and our pet was not improving. I called back to the animal hospital to get further help. I was concerned because a $2,800 bill was not something that we could continue to absorb on a routine basis. By lunchtime I had not heard back from the Animal hospital. I work close by Adobe so I stopped in to get a 2nd opinion because our pet was clearly suffering. My wife and I had already begun the difficult process of preparing our 2 children about the potential outcome if Tjs (cats name) condition did not improve. I stopped in at Adobe and explained the situation to two young women behind the desk. I was immediately put at ease. The problem appeared all to routine and I was told that the cat was too young to consider the euthanasia . My wife brought the cat to Adobe and we both met with Dr. Gherardi within a half an hours time. Dr. Gherardi spent a considerable amount of time with us, examining the cat, explaining things and the options we had. He followed up with a thorough review of the animal hospitals chart and then again later regarding lapses in documentation. Long-story-short, our pet is home and thriving. Weeks later we were still getting calls checking in on Tjs condition. I am a pretty conservative person and it is not often that I toss out a 5 star rating. It was effortless in this instance. Our family thanks you.

If you are looking for the best, for your beloved pet, look no further! Adobe Animal Hospital of Soquel is the finest facility I have ever patronized. My dogs are THE MOST IMPORTANT little creatures in my life; therefore, their good health is at the top of the list. I feel comfortable that everyone at Adobe has the same goal-deliver the finest patient care. And that care extends to the client at the other end of the leash. It is not only the health of my dogs they address, but my concerns and questions as well. Unless there is an emergency, there is no waiting. The front desk staff is kind, considerate, empathetic, fair, clear and expedient. Each of the Veterinarians are skilled practitioners in general, and unique in their delivery of care as well. I have been taking my dogs to them for so long, and exceedingly often, that my files have to be carried to the Vet Specialists for referrals, (as they are too large to FAX). Due to my vast experience with this Vet Clinic, and the ages of time I have passed there, I feel very qualified in the critique of the practice. They have literally saved my dog’s life, not by anything dramatic, but simply by following protocol, and paying attention to details. The entire staff is guilty of having too much fun, and humor is always welcome in my world, especially when times get tough with doggie health. Not only do they laugh with me, but they cry as well. Having just come out, of the experience of saying good-bye, to two of my dogs, I wouldn’t change a thing about it. They made one of the most difficult events; peaceful, calm and seamless; due to their compassion and skill. This is an Animal Clinic on which you can depend. They are the best, and they are rare. I would not hesitate for a second in recommending them for your companion animal’s health care.

At Adobe Animal Hospital of Soquel, I discovered that Dr. Bannerman has a special place in her heart for bulldogs so I started to take my French Bulldog dam and five pups to her starting when the pups were 10 days old (11/14/2011). I was amazed at how friendly and warm Dr. Bannerman and her staff were. I have been there about five or six times in the past year and continue to marvel at the friendliness and first rate care all of my dogs have received there. The atmosphere was nurturing from the minute I stepped into the waiting room. The front desk person was super welcoming and the vet assistants were really attentive. I have a sense that all the folks here truly love their work and it really shows. I dont know anything about what type of facility Adobe was before Dr. Bannerman took over, but I do know that my experiences and those of my daughter and other Frenchie-owning friends have been extremely positive. I give high marks for the level of care provided with fair prices. Dr. B. takes the time to fully explain everything thats going on and alternatives, and I really appreciate that. I used to take my dog to a vet in Los Gatos, but since I discovered Dr. Bannerman, I drive them over the hill from Saratoga.

I give this Hospital and Dr. Bannerman 10 stars. My dog had been having ear issues for several months her previous Veterinarian had checked her ears many times and always said "They are fine and look great". Well, turns out no, they are not, I finally decided to take her to another Vet Hospital which is Adobe Animal Hospital of Soquel. I called and the front staff got her in right away. Dr. Bannerman came in and was so informative and gentle with my dog. She also spoke to us and, explained what she was doing, She took a swab and swabbed her ear and black stuff came out, along with Tested for parasites/mites it was negative. She treated her with some ear medication that is an antibiotic and pain reliever....I am happy to say she is healing and doing fine, finally after many months of wondering what was going on. So, If your looking for attention to detail and complete concern and well being for your animal, Adobe Animal Hospital and Dr. Bannerman is certainly the best place.

When we first took Maggie, our 4 yr. old Chihuahua, to the Adobe Animal Hospital I was immediately impressed and upon meeting Dr. Topper I felt confident we had made the correct decision in trying Adobes services. Dr. Topper treated Maggies ear infection which began to clear up right away and provided us with preventative cleanser as well. Although Maggie, whining and trembling, (yet another of her manipulative ploys) was not comfortable there it was no reflection on the hospital or the good doctor. Recently, Maggies back leg was hurt and again, she had to be muzzled while she was taken back to the examination room. Dr. Topper returned with Maggie calmly snuggled in her arms minus the muzzle (Imagine our surprise!! The little stinker!) and assured us the leg wasnt broken. She discussed various causes with us and we left a little more educated and a little less stressed because weve no doubt our baby is in excellent hands. Dot
