Ths a reason why Dr. Chow hasnt had a positive yelp review in years. In my experience with him, this dentist showed me (Eds wife Barbara Amit) poor workmanship, dishonesty, total lack of caring and greed. Poor dentistry: Dr. Chow took actions and made decisions that made it unlikely for my implant to successfully stay in my mouth. He waited significantly less time than normal for the gum to heal after extraction before placing the implant, ( side note: he covered my face in a claustrophobic full face mask during the procedure that increased anxiety and misery) and a few days after the surgery, before it had time to enmesh in my gums, he handled and touched the implant until it came out. Uncaring: After his failed implant attempt, I had an accident that my MD said caused mild traumatic brain injury. I couldnt walk a block from dizziness, so I called Dr. Chows office to say Id have to put off the implant for a while, per my doctor. Dr. Chow, who had already been paid in full, called, not to offer sympathy, but to demand a note from my doctor. Dishonesty and Greed: Dr. Chow was paid $3,462.50 up front for the implant. Hed made the experience of implant placement miserable, he messed it up so it came out, he didnt care about my brain trauma other than to demand letters of proof, I cant medically do the implant now, and when I will, Ill have to pay the full amount from scratch again to another dentist,- so to be done with him while avoiding a bad attitude from him, I offered Dr. Chow to keep over 1/3 of the money and wed part ways. He responded that he wanted to speak to the MD to have him justify his recommendation of not having oral surgery right after a brain injury, and offered, instead of a refund, to waive a $400 fee for work done on another tooth. As you have to pay in advance for all work done, and since Dr. Chow and I both have my patient ledger which shows a zero balance, I am beginning to wonder if he is unbalanced. Hold onto your money! He put me through hell trying to breathe through that full face mask when getting an implant done which he messed up. He wont allow you to change your mind about having work done, even if you have a doctors note saying you have brain injury, let alone if you just changed your mind. Dont see this man. His lack of caring, his coldness, his refusal to take responsibility for his errors, and his unwillingness to part with cash he has no right to, are all a very ugly mix.

The staff at Model Smile Dentistry is excellent. From the moment I walked in they made me feel at home, like they were family. Their demeaner is caring and sincere. I was nervous about a difficult and stressful treatment I needed to undergo, and Dr. Chow and his staff put me at ease immediately. Dr. Chow is knowledgable, friendly, and extremely competent. I was very impressed when he called me over the weekend to see how I was doing after undergoing multiple tooth extractions. That small gesture meant a lot to me during a painful recovery period. Dr. Chow and his staff get top marks all around!

I have a lot of serious dental issues, and I have always dreaded going to the dentist for that fact. As Luck would have it, I discovered Dr Albert Chow, it almost seems like he has made me his personal mission, and I am the better for it. His office is a pleasant place his staff is knowledgeable, professional, and courteous, but for me it is Dr Chow that makes the difference, his has masterful skill as well as a big heart, and when I am starting another big procedure, that is what gives me confidence and comfort.

I drive 40 miles just to see Dr. Chow. This guy knows his stuff. In the past, I would avoid going to the dentist because of bad experiences with other dentists. My wife suggested that I see Dr. Chow. He has clearly invested in implementing the latest in technological advances. In addition, the rest of the staff is a pleasure to deal with.
