I really wanted to give this more stars because there are good things about the Woodland Hospital a few of those things were the doctors dr. Arthur and dr. To are amazing and knowledgeable. dr. Arthur also performed a tubal ligation surgery on me after delivery and that went well. This last baby was four beautiful kids for us so we feel like its time to cut it off even though it was an extremely hard decision as we both love children.we work full time to so the Daycare (and no gov Assistance at all) Also with my medical conditions it is extremely hard for me to go through pregnancies every time so we feel we are making the best decision for our family and for the children that we do have. The bad parts are that I have an underlying medical condition that causes extreme pain which requires me to take low-grade pain medication the normal pregnant people do not usually take also I have maternal hypertension. Due to these things my doctor sent me in for non-stress test starting at about 36 weeks once a week... I was in the same situation 18 months ago and I had my other daughter and it was all quite routine I had no issues and my daughter was born perfectly healthy with no side effects. unfortunately during this pregnancy I was treated differently as soon as the nursing staff found out that I was taking medications during my pregnancy, when I went in for the non-stress test the first time one of the nurses actually told me that I should not be taking any medications while Im pregnant this was a complete shock and surprise to me since my doctors have been prescribing it to me for years and during my two pregnancies I felt fearful , embarrassed and worried especially because she told me that after the baby is born if it shows any sort of signs of distress they would rush it off to a NICU. I asked why none of these precautions or concerns were brought up during my first pregnancy there and the nurse didnt seem to know why. my labor was fine I always get my babies out pretty quickly but this time I had to have a surgery to get my tubes tied the day after I gave birth everyone told me that it would be fine but when I woke up from surgery I felt the worst pain Ive ever felt in my life I was sobbing and crying the nurses called the doctor and she agreed to give me pain shots every 2 hours if I needed them throughout the night since the pain was so bad, the problem I had then was that miss. Skinner (Leanne) is her first name decided to come in and argue with me about taking medication even though it had been 5 hours since my last dose of pain meds she told me that I was on too much medication and that I should wait and hold off and not take any I politely told her that I would like to take it now since it was midnight and I would like to get some sleep before they came back in and started messing with the baby, after 20 minutes of exhausting deliberation and me having to wake up my husband to talk to her she agreed to give me the medication. I questioned her on why she would interject her personal opinion rather than follow my doctors orders I told her that it made me feel extremely uncomfortable and violated. It didnt help much that nurse Skinner was my nurse last time I gave birth in April of 2015 and she would give me nothing for pain- sleep throughout the entire night that I was there waiting for my induction to be completed they put it off two days due to being busy buggy child have kept their patient comfortable and strength up. in the morning my mother and I were so upset we talk to the charge nurse. The charge nurse actually had to profusly apologize because whoever she spoke with on the nursing floor told her that I was given a shot for pain and sleep which was a complete fabrication. Birth between a mother and child is supposed to be a peaceful and memorable experience the last kicker was that they tried to make me pay my hospital copay as they wheeled me out of hospital when my insurance company is already paying 15K. Wow.

I delivered my #5 son here at the woodland hospital labor and delivery i was very impressed and happy with my experience. I absolutely love Dr.To she is very sweet and genuinely a caring person and an excellent doctor. All the nurses were great and very helpful and caring. It makes the stay way better when you feel comfortable and surrounded by such a great staff. Nurse LeAnn did my labor and after care and was extremely nice and very attentive. Im just overall very satisfied with picking woodland to deliver my last baby. I also delivered my twins here 3 years ago and had a different experience and almost decided to go some where else but so glad i made the choice on coming back, this time around was a 10 star for me. Thanks woodland healthcare you made my delivery of my baby boy an amazing experience and truly blessed. Thanks so the personal gifts also the robe, diaper bag, dinner for 2, and personal bag of stuff you need for your stay while there.

I have been a patient of Woodland Healthcare for many years. My primary care doctor is amazing but I have to say the rest I am not so keen on. Pain management is impossible. The office doesnt schedule properly and constantly makes excuses. Several times I have had to call patient relations just to get them to respond. I recently had a procedure that was so disorganized and poorly executed in scheduling the actual procedure that it took 4 months and many phone calls when I was told by the doctor that I would be in within two weeks at most. In any other business, I would be fired if I slacked off in this manner. Every time I was making appointments after seeing this doctor, the staff were on their phones or on the computer playing games or using instant messenger programs. If you have other options, I would strongly recommend using them.

You can be sure I will never be setting foot in this hospital again. My doctor underprescribed me pain medication after performing a very painful surgery (adult tonsillectomy), right before he left for a week long vacation. There was a lot of negligence involved in my post-op care which led me to suffer level 10 pain for pretty much the entire first week. As someone with extremely high pain tolerance, my pain level should never even have reached that high but it did thanks to the lack of medication provided by my doctors. Furthermore, the on-call doctor he left me with failed to refill my pain meds in a timely manner, and turned out only had 1-2 years of medical experience.

So I have one doctor and one nurse I like, but thats about it. If you have the money or insurance to go to a different hospital, do it. If you have a chronic illness go elsewhere, this place isnt meant for you. For all you people who dont know anything about medicine and have never been sick, you might enjoy this place. However if you need good medical facilities, dont come here. Ive had horrible experiences. Some people here are good, but its like finding a needle in a haystack. If you want someone who listens. You either need to know your body extremely well or go to someone else
