I have never had an experience as terrible as I had at Gunbarrel Medical Center. I move and needed a PCP for prescription management. Blood pressure meds ect. Not only was I ridiculed but was made to feel like a pill seeking junky. I was told that you cannot be allergic to prednisone. And lectured about it before being sent on my way to try to find another doctor in Colorado who had a brain in there head. I would like to state clearly that this is very very wrong information and Dr. Shane Juenemann is an idiot. I have confirmed I am indeed allergic to prednisone. After being made to feel like an idiot I was turned away with a prescription for the controlled substance Clonasepam but not my blood pressure medication? I was told that he felt that I had too much going on and that he felt overwhelmed with my medical problems. Maybe you had your head hit a few too many times playing hockey since you have hockey pucks all over your office, but the last time I checked you took an oath that says, I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the persons family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick. These people should be ashamed of themselves.

Anna Rooney The best Family Doctor in the State! Contrary to other negative experiences that have been written below, As a medical professional l have experienced FIRST CLASS care! ALL of my reports have been accurate and informative! I am a cancer Patient that was pre diagnosed at this clinic. l was Completely asymptomatic. Without accurate testing and interpretation 1 could have easily continued on with my life not knowing that l had a disease that if left Untreated could have Killed me. I credit the competency of my Doctors and her staff with saving my life. 5 stars

The actual visit was ok but my insurance company denied the initial claim. My insurance asked for some documents from the medical center and after several unanswered messages left with the nurses (took about 2 weeks) they finally sent over some documents... But they were the wrong ones. After that is was impossible to get anyone to return my calls so I ended up paying the bill myself. Save yourself the trouble and make the drive into Boulder

Dr. Horner is the best doctor I have ever had. I have a mental health history and she always took my concerns seriously. She always treated me with compassion and decency and genuinely listened to my concerns. Not to mention solving a physical health crisis I was having. I did have a very negative experience with Dr. Juenemann before finding her.

I highly recommend Dr. Horner. Starting with the wait-time to see her — is typically less than five minutes. While in her presence, Dr. Horner is always patient and attentive — being an excellent listener and providing moral advice. I hope she plans to stay at Gunbarrel Medical, because both my husband and I trust Dr. Horner — and like her a lot.

Doctor didnt seem like she knew what she was doing. She was thorough... but if you dont know what youre doing, being thorough isnt really all that important. I survived though, so Im giving it three stars. Oh, and there was hardly any wait.
