This is by far the worst army hospital that I had experienced. The policies are completely wrong and need to be revised regarding the womens clinic and Im sure other sections of the hospital as well. The womens clinic is a complete joke and to top it off so is the labor & delivery clinic and the ER. Their trying to replace doctors with midwives. When a woman is during her third trimester they should be seen at least once or twice a week if their high risk, my wife is not being taken care of properly at all. She is going weeks without being seen by a doctor and is high risk. When it comes to labs some how the paper work always seems to get lost which results in you getting your blood taken over and over and or them not giving you very important information (results) until weeks or months later. The army needs to completely due away with the hospitals on the installations because theyre not up to standards with their civilian counterparts. The doctors/midwives (hell I never seen nor heard of a midwife being a substitute for a doctor and the MW are forced on you and your family from the start) are horrible and so are the staff. During a pregnancy (MEN) take your wives to a civilian obgyn, please save yourself and your wives the heartache which you will receive from William & Beaumont. I would give this hospital a -100. All military personnel switch to standard. Your wife will not be seen by her primary OBGYN she will been seen by multiple different OBGYNS because her primary one will be booked with appointments so she will not be seen consistently by just the one. The labor & delivery and womens clinic policies are completely un heard of by any other hospitals. They will ruin the experience of you & your wives experience of delivering your child normally. Tri-care unfortunately recently stop providing funding for pregnant women to be seen by certain civilian obgyns in Elpaso due to them having obgyns at William & Beaumont (which are not up to standards with their civilian counterparts by far), however there are still obgyn providers in El Paso that will accept tri-care standard. Once my child is born I will switch my wife and child to tri-care standard. Do not let them force your family members to have their medical needs taken care of at this hospital. You have good doctors here dont get me mistaken, however there are way too many bad ones here that over weighs the good ones, even with seeing a good provider here youll still constantly face challenges such as the ridiculous policies that are unheard of nor seen in any other hospitals, doctors claiming to put in orders for prescriptions but when you go to pick up your prescription the orders were never put in, them losing your labs, rude staff or them not taking care of your wives medical needs in a timely manner which results in a horrible and painful experience. The ICE Comments do nothing whatsoever, they never responded to any I filled out and requested a response from them. *Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA)*

worst place ive ever been to in my life and ive been to some pretty bad hospitals found out iwas pregnant went to the obgyn they told me they refuse to see me until i was at least 8-10 weeks pregnant but didnt check to see how far along i was so im glad they can just assume by looking so later on in the day started experiencing cramping went to the emergency room got their at 4 around 430 they took me back put and iv in drew 6 tubes of blood and told me to go back into the waiting room and waiting about 5 to 6 more hours with an iv in my arm they finally call us back and the doctor took a urine test and said very rudely to my face that i wasnt pregnant i told her i took 2 good tests at home and they said otherwise i pretty much begged them to do the blood test since they already took so much blood and she said they dont do that there but she guesses she will. she came back within 15 min and told me i was actually pregnant after what she said was the best test possible said no she put the papers on the bed told me that i was but my hcg levels were so low it was a super early pregnancy to go back to the ob clinic who refused to see me before to test my levels within 3 days. the night before i was going to go into the clinic i started spotting ive heard its common and knew i was goin in in the morning so i went to sleep woke up and was bleeding pretty heavily i went in to get my levels checked and they said pretty much to my face without taking blood yet or checking me nothing that i most likely had a chemical pregnancy and that there was no chance i was pregnant anymore so they said they will check my levels and they have dropped they told me over the phone that there is no baby at all that i did actually have a chemical pregnancy. this place is just RUDE, HEARTLESS, and give two craps less about pregnant woman i would never go back there again worthless place full of selfish people who dont care for their patients .

Its a hit or miss with this hospital. Some days is great and others is a nightmare. A couple weeks ago I had awesome care through the quick care. I only spent 2 hours there from the wait to going through the pharmacy but if you dont go during quick care hours youre bound to be sent to the back of the er and spend 4+ hours there. One night we took my daughter in for a high fever that wouldnt go away. They got us in a room and that room still had a strep test left in it from the previous patient which only told me the room they put us in wasnt clean and God knows what the last person had or anyone else who had been in that room that night. My daughter and I both ended up with stomach bugs a day later, pretty sure it wasnt a coincidence since that was the only place we had been for a few days due to her being sick. I typically avoid this place at all costs. Even my birthing experience here wasnt pleasant, I would not have another baby here. The nurse who took care of me told me she had started each day with blood on her, that day it so happened to be my blood. The room wasnt great, the epidural wasnt placed right so not only did he hit a nerve that made my leg twitch and freaked me out but after an hour I was in immense pain in one spot on my stomach when contractions came. All around every experience Ive had in a civilian hospital has been a million times better. I would not recommend anyone come here unless its for quick care, its really the only thing the hospital has going for it, the nurses and doctors in the clinic are wonderful and fast. They get you in and out, the longest wait I had was in the ER waiting to get to the clinic. After that I spent maybe 15-20 mins in a room to get checked, 10 mins (on a Saturday so it wasnt busy) getting my prescription, and then I was on my way home.
