So, we moved to Castle Rock around January of 2011. On a recommendation by the only person I knew in Castle Rock I decided to choose Dr. Healy. At first the office seemed fine, based on they could see us quickly and wait times were average. At this point he had only done a well check on my children. Then when my son who was 14 months at the time got sick I called the office and made a sick appointment. I went in said I didnt think he was acting like himself very fussy, he didnt want anything, and had a bad runny nose and low grade fever. Dr. Healy spent less than 12 minutes with us said he had the common cold take him home keep giving him Tylenol & Ibprophin. I paid the co pay and did as he recommended. About 24hours later I called again said he is no better if anything worse. Dr. Healy wasnt in the next day, a Friday, and we saw the PA. She immediately diagnosed him with RSV, and we had to do a breathing treatment right then in the office. She quickly diagnosed it, and even said she was surprised Dr. Healy missed that! I again paid my co pay, and went to pick up the medicine, ect. I was extremely disappointed how he took no time with us to rule everything out, and he never even made a follow up call with us. I would never recommend him to anyone. I also found out a little later from a very good friend, her husband is a paramedic and firefighter here in Castle Rock, and they got called to his office one day and he said that Dr. Healy was of no use to them and at a complete loss on how to help or provide them with basic information on the patient. He said he was the worst Pediatric Doctor he has come in contact with here in Castle Rock! So, again do not waste your time or money on this Doctor in my opinion.

We have been taking our daughter to Dr. Healey since we moved to Castle Rock in 2007 when she was just 6 months old. At first we thought he was a good doctor, friendly and seemed interested in helping advise parents on what to expect the first few years. However our most recent visit will be our last. Its too bad because we like Dr. Stage, who we have seen a couple times for emergency visits outside of normal business hours. He is very kind and genuine with helping treat children. And the nurses Marcia and Jean are kind, patient and helpful as well. At our last visit we were treated very rudely by the admin staff and Dr. Healey for being 15 minutes late for my daughters follow up appointment. I had called to let them know I was running late and asked if I should reschedule but I was assured they could squeeze us in. When we walked in Dr. Healey muttered "thats why they call it a waiting room" and made my daughter who was recovering from the flu wait one full hour. It literally took him 5 minutes to listen to her lungs and release her. I was disgusted by the discourteous treatment so much so that I asked another mom if she ever had a negative experience. Not only had she experienced his rude demeanor, it was unprovoked. I understand it can be frustrating to have patients arrive late but to treat them poorly and punish the child when they are sick is just deplorable. There are many other good pediatricians in Castle Rock and when you have a choice, there is no reason to continue seeing a doctor who is intolerant and unkind.

We had a morning appointment for our 2 year old daughter. She choked and vomited on the drive to the appointment. Naturally I had to pull over and clean her up and make sure she was OK. We were 25 minutes late for our appointment. The staff was rude but said they could still squeeze us in. After 1 and 1/2 hours we heard Dr. Healey say quietly to his staff "they would learn their lesson and never be late again." Upon overhearing such a remark I asked the receptionist when we could expect to be seen. She said it would be another 1 and 1/2. Then we left. I have "learned my lesson." I will never go back to such a patronizing doctor. They never even asked how my daughter was doing. Mom from Castle Rock

We have been with Dr. Healey now since 2008. Our two sons love him and he is truly a great pediatrician. In fact, when our insurance changed and he became out of network, we opted to change plans so that we could keep him! Im actually shocked to see any negative reviews! Dr. Healeys straightforwardness is obviously not understood by some. We find his gentle and matter of fact manner to be very refreshing and have nothing but fabulous things to say about he and Dr. Stage. Great practice!

My wife and I are both very happy with Dr. Healey. He is a great balance of professional and caring. He frequently references current research which I appreciate and tells me he keeps up with the ever changing landscape of the medical field. I typically show up early to appointments in case I have an unexpected delay and I am seen quite quickly. Dr. Healey takes time to answer any questions or go over any concerns we have.

Dr. Healey and his staff came highly recommended and are totally awesome. Unfortunately, we could not continue going there because they do not take my wifes insurance. We have since moved on and found a decent pediatrician but my family will miss the professional team and great atmosphere at Healey Pediatrics. -RIAN

***BEWARE*** Dr. Healey is a nice enough doctor but twice he has misdiagnosed my kids. Had to make a after hours call to Dr. Stage. He was rude about the time of day. He was rude about my location and drive time(Elbert). Last I checked I am the customer...and you DONT patronize the customer!!
