If youve made the informed decision to not vaccinate or delay the vaccination schedule for your children, stay FAR AWAY from Dr. Burkes office. We just moved here and unknowingly scheduled an appointment with Dr. Burke. It wasnt until we were in the exam room that he informed us that he REFUSES to treat patients that make the decision not to vaccinate or do not vaccinate on the advised schedule. His reasoning, of course, came in the most demeaning and condescending tone, complete with a run down of all the reasons why Im doing an injustice to my kids and the public health system (in front of my 8 year old, mind you). I understand that it might be ok to refuse treatment to patients who delay vaccinations. HOWEVER, someone should pre-screen his new patients and let them know. We wasted an entire morning and Ive never been made to feel so terrible. Came for an ADHD evaluation for my 8 year old and left his office in tears. Wont ever be back!

When my son with autism, whom almost died at birth due to catching a staph infection from memorial, came to be checked with swollen lymph nodes, this "doctor" grabbed my sons face during a meltdown and yelled at him to calm down. He told our family hes not a boy dying of cancer. I shouldve filed a suit but instead suggest everyone avoid this psycho like the plague!
