I would have done anything to have my experience at this veterinary office be different, but it isnt. My cat literally died from their lack of care. I brought my cat here when he appeared hurting and withdrawn, I mentioned he wasnt eating and hadnt gone to the bathroom in 1 1/2 days either. They did an exam on him, told me to leave him there so they would have time to get a urine sample. I came back 3 hours later, they couldnt get a urine sample, but saw some blood, he didnt have a temperature, but they gave me antibiotics. When I got him home he was breathing so labored, open mouth, I called them only to be told that he was fine when he left there and that it was probably due to the poking and prodding of the exam that he was like this. I explained his mouth was cold, he was breathing open mouthed, heartbeat and chest working very hard. I was told that cats have cold mouths when we touch them, again told me he will be better in the morning. When I called After Hrs the next time (approx 1-2hrs later), there was no answer, no forward number. I rushed him to the Evergreen Animal Hospital and they immediately knew his lungs were filled with fluid (allergic reaction), they put him on oxygen and allergy meds, but my cat didnt make it. My beautiful boy was gone six hours after leaving the vet. Did he develop an allergic reaction from the vets office? Possible. We would know the answer to that only if the vet had done any listening to the lungs of my cat. She wrote down she couldnt clearly hear the lungs since he was purring! FYI, people, cats dont just purr when they are happy, they ALWAYS purr when they are scared to death. I am pretty sure I know which one my cat was at that time. So, he got an enema from Family Veterinary and thats it, cost me $240.00,too.

Review from 2016:We just adopted a rescue dog through Big Dogs Huge Paws and wanted to get a full work-up done to assess Sadies overall health and get her on the right track out the gate. As usual (we had two other dogs we took to Family Vet before they passed away), the entire team welcomed Sadie and helped her feel at home there. Dr. Liz and Tonja were very caring with our new furry family member. Dr. Liz spent so much time with us answering a list (literally a long list) of questions. We had blood work done and aspirations of a few spots. Then Dr. Kevin called with the results a couple days later on a Saturday (long after office hours were done-because they are devoted to our pets too). We had a follow-up appointment due to a high white cell blood count and retested for heart worm (done by the vet when originally obtained by BDHP). After some medication, she is 100% back on her feet. They made the whole process so easy and really left no stone unturned for our gentle giant (Mastiff mix). I recommend Family Veterinary Hospital to everyone that has a beloved furry family member that deserves the best care and attention.

We just moved to Evergreen and really liked our old vet down in Denver. We have a 10 year old Chocolate Lab who was so well cared for from our previous vet that we thought finding another one that could match the level of care he was receiving would be nearly impossible. We were wrong. Dr. Liz and crew at Family Vet were absolutely fantastic. Our lab hurt himself and hasnt been feeling well since and so we brought him in to get checked and everyone was so sympathetic, courteous and professional. They recommended an x-ray but werent pushy about it, acknowledging that its a fairly substantial cost to the visit. We went ahead and got the x-ray and were glad we did because it showed not only what was going on but also gave us peace of mind about our little guy. We can say with confidence that Family Veterinary Hospital is our new home for care for our dog. If you are looking for a vet for your animal, we cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks!

I cant say enough good things about Family Veterinary. "Family" is exactly what it is at this veterinary hospital. Dr. Kevin and Dr. Liz are a husband/wife team who I met incidentally through our children. I was looking at the time we met for a caring vet for my older dog and now, 4 years later, my dog is 12 and I am so glad that Dr. Liz is the one caring for him at this stage of life. My dog has benefitted greatly from the homeopathic therapies (laser and acupuncture) that is offered at Family Veterinary. Although he has an ACL injury, these therapies have helped him remain active and happy. We have been there quite regularly lately and in addition to the comments already posted (Rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes, the extended hours are convenient), I feel as if everyone in the office truly cares for my dog. 5 stars!

Liz and Kevin are professional, responsive, practical yet very compassionate. They return emergency phone calls in a timely manner we even used text photos to examine a situation that ended up needing emergency weekend attention. They are reasonably priced and dont recommend excessive testing and labs if it is not necessary I feel so fortunate to have such a dependable and competent vet to bring my dog for care in Evergreen. Last time I was in the office, I noticed a large candle on the counter of the waiting room area and it stated if the candle was burning please be considerate that a patient/client in one the exam rooms was saying "goodbye" to their beloved pet. I thought what a caring way to keep customers from laughing and being loud in the waiting room. They really CARE!

Our family of cats have been clients of Family Vet for almost 5 years. There is no one we trust our fur-family members to more than Drs. Kevin and Liz and their incredible staff. Everyone on the team is so caring and knowledgeable - and they treat your fur-family members as members of their own family. One of our cats - Simba - went through a dental procedure with Dr. Kevin a few years ago. Simba handled the procedure incredibly well and was such a happy camper afterward. Dr. Kevin took such great care of him. Theyve even seen us through the death of two of our "children." Such a painful time in my life was surrounded by care, love, comfort, and incredible support thanks to Family Vet. We have truly felt cared for. Please support this incredible gem of a local business.

When we adopted two littermate Lab puppies in August, we knew there was only one veterinary practice we wanted to treat our new puppies. We live south of Parker, so drive 45 miles each way to see Drs. Liz and Kevin - and their warm and welcoming staff - and we wouldnt have it any other way. They spend time with us as though were the only patients they have, despite their solid schedule, and both examine and play with Tucker and Zoey as though they are their own. After each visit, and before we get back home, they send a thorough and personalized overview of the visit, including a graph of each puppys growth. We couldnt be happier, or more grateful, to have our dogs cared for by Drs. Liz and Kevin at Family Veterinary Hospital!
