My almost 91 year old grandmother had to spend about a week in this facility (October 2010) and we just got her moved out of there luckily. Within the first 48 hours they let her oxygen run out 3 time!! And that was just the first 48 hours. . .in the following week it happened many more times. One night she was out of oxygen for almost 3 hours before they noticed, and that was after they forgot to take her to dinner. My grandma also said that the were quite rough when handling her. The nurses sit at the desk and play on their cell phones while people that pay over $200 a day run out of oxygen and are forgotten about. Its a horrible feeling actually wondering if your grandma is going to die if you and family members dont check on her a few times a day. If you are considering this place research state and heath inspection records first. It will save you time and your loved ones will not be in danger!!!

This place is a joke. Everything you ask them, they do the exact opposite. Even when you ask them several times. My grandpa is here and hes gotten pneumonia three times now. The hospital asked that he have oxygen 24/7. Every single night, we have to remind them. Or check because theyll have the oxygen on him but the tank is empty. Hes on a blood thinner but they still toss him around. He likes to stay up until 9:30 or 10. But. They put him to bed at 6:30. Weve had several meetings with them and nothing changes. They dont clean but once a day. So vomit and feces stay around all day. They dont change the residents like they should. It should be every 2 hours and they dont. They even went as far as telling my grandpa who he could and could not socialize with. Do not bring your family here.

Was looking to join a top-tier rehab facility and was recommended to Life Cares Western Hills Health Care Center by a friend. After meeting with the Regional Vice President and the local staff, I was excited to give it a try. I have been pleasantly surprised at every turn. The people at Western Hills are genuine and kind. The most amazing part of the care is the formalized daily rounds which are conducted by top management and direct care givers. This makes the team well informed of patient needs and connects the care at all levels. With the recent room renovations and quality care, this place is definitely worth a try.

Im writing this because when I googled western hills most of the reviews were negative, but my mom was there for rehabilitation after a full knee replacement she stayed a few weeks and she had no complaints. she feels like she was treated well and if shes happy im happy. one thing she didnt care about but bugged me was the amount of visible tattoos on the staff which I think looks trashy and unprofessional, but I heard that as of 1-1-13 they are being told they have to cover up! good! But overall I think all her needs were met.

What fascinates me is how someone would be critical of a facility or a staff member period. These people have a very difficult job and they do the best that they possibly can under a variety of circumstances. I have had nothing but very favorable experiences anytime I visited the facility. The staff has always been pleasant and informative and most of all caring. I appreciate everyone here and the work that they do.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would!!!! My mom has been in there for almost a week and a half and the conditions are deplorable and the staff (most of the time) are rude and condescending. On top of that, the food is God awful! My mom received a lunch with tuna salad (that was warm), an unrecognizable lump of some side dish and a MOLDY croissant!!!!!! This place is bad....dont take your family members there at all!

Due to many medical problems our father has needed to spend time in skilled facilities like this one. This is the best! The staff truely cared for, and about him. Their knowledge and caring hearts set them above all the rest. Thank you so much for all you have done for our dad. If we need care again, we will go no where else.
