WORST ANIMAL HOSPITAL EVER! Brought my 11 week old puppy in today because she had lost a significant amount of weight over night combined with vomiting and diarrhea and they told me she wouldnt live through the night. They told me it would be $1,000.00 JUST to figure out what was wrong with her and more to treat her. When I asked about payment plans they told me the only exception would be if I signed up for a credit card. Then when I asked if they could refer me to other clinics to bring her to she said that she didnt know of anyone who could help me and basically had a "I dont care about anything but your money" type attitude. The whole time we were there it was a sales pitch. I called about 10 other vet clinics who all said theyd charge $300.00 or less, which granted is still a lot but no where compared to the $1,000.00 that this place wanted to charge. I ended up going to a WONDERFUL clinic who charged me $30.00 for treatment, let her come home with me, and also stated that Columbines statement of her "not living through the night" was absolute bullsh** and that she had just eaten something that was causing a bad reaction. I wouldnt trust this place for anything, all these good reviews must just be from people who got conned into paying too much, and believed things that werent true. Not impressed.

BE READY TO GET RIPPED OFF!! They told me it would be about $3000 and my dog would have a 90% chance of survival after having surgery to have a tumor removed. Over $7000 and a dead dog later, they acted as if they didnt even care. They even hit me another $400 to have him cremated. They told me the surgery had to be done soon because the tumor was cutting off his organs, but it would take 2 weeks to get any tests back to see if the tumor was cancerous so I needed to decided. I was out of town at the time, and had to deal with them over the phone, which mainly consisted of them calling for more money. I found out later the tests could be done in 2 days. After the surgery was completed I took him home, and then had to put him down 2 days later because the tumor was obviously cancerous. This did take place a couple of years ago, but since I was online looking for a real vet I figured I would try and save a few people some heart and wallet ache. I will admit the people are very nice, to you as well as the animals. So if you want to over pay for basic services this your place, but as soon as your pet has a serious problem you will see their true colors.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! I brought my pit bull in for an emergency a few weeks back because no one else would take her. I had them run X-rays and it came back that she had pneumonia. They gave me two options hospitalize her or send her home with medications I opted to hospitalize her as they werent sure if she would make it with just medication and were admit she would be FINE with hospitalization. I paid 1200 dollars and had her hospitalized for the night. They said she would be back to normal soon and they wanted to do a check up appointment in two weeks. After one week of having her home and giving her medication she was slowly getting worse. I called my personal vet and scheduled an appointment. They were completely booked until today (8/14/17) my little girl passed away two days before the appointment(8/12). I feel they didnt care about the livelihood of my dog but more so cared about how much I was going to pay them. The only reason I gave two stars was because the assistant vet was extremely nice and helpful

My husband and I have been treating our cats with Columbine Animal Hospital for eleven years. We take them there because of the quality care that they continue to receive. Dr. Karen Todd and Dr. Litto Su are both so knowledgable and are such compassionate doctors, and have always been saviors when our kitties have been in need of urgent care. Dr. Natalie Kirk recenly helped us with an urgent care situation and she was wonderful. Vet technicians Ashley and Nicky are fantastic. They always make you feel that you are in good hands. All these ladies care very deeply for the animals that they are treating, and understand that they are treating your "FAMILY". There have been some negative reviews about the cost of health care provided. Yes, the cost of care can sometimes be high. But that said, when you are wanting the best quality of care for your family and not just a "pet", its absolutely worth every penny. Thank you ladies for all that you do!!!

There is no better vet care on the planet. I have been taking my pets to Columbine Animal Hospital most of my life. They have saved the lives of my pets more than once. And when the time has come to let my older pets go, they made the unbearable experience bearable. They offer boarding services where I can leave my precious fur babies behind knowing they are in the best of care. When I have lived in other cities and have taken my pets to other vets, I have always been disappointed by comparison. My dogs never pull on the leash when I am walking them unless we are in front of Columbine Animal Hospital. When I pull up in front of the building, they cant wait to get inside to see their "friends," and pull me all the way in the front door! They dont do this anywhere else, including home. I think this says it all!

I boarded my puppy for two days, when I picked him up he was urine soaked. I made several phone calls and visits to get this situation dealt with. The owner called me, assured me this would never happen again etc etc. Of course I would never leave my dog there again, but they were certainly apologetic. Several months before this incident, I made reservations to leave him again, but since I had told them I was leaving their practice and had both my dogs records faxed to another vet, I assumed they would cancel the reservations. I just received a phone call from their office letting me know they are not "allowed" to board my dog anymore. It certainly makes me rethink all those consolatory phone calls and assurances that my urine soaked puppy was not the norm but a mistake.

We had to take our cat in when she was having a very rough few days and this place got her in quickly, were friendly, understanding (despite my cat being a spawn of Satan with strangers), and I didnt feel ripped off like the other reviews have said. They diagnosed her issue fairly quickly and made next day plans to get her back healthy. Prices were in line with other places we looked at before hand. Dr. Krista was the vet we had and she answered every single question I had. Hell, she even shaved her like a Lion for me for free. A week or so later and my cat is back to herself, if not, more lively. Deja truly appreciates you guys. Thanks!

The entire staff at Columbine Animal Hospital are tremendous. They take a personal interest in my dog and are very helpful in getting the right diagnosis and treatment. The staff has a personal interest in my pet and will often acknowledge and greet him when we arrive. He is almost 14 years old and Im convinced that he would not be alive today if it hadnt been for the outstanding care and concern I have received from the doctors and staff at Columbine.
