After over 16 years with this vet, WE ARE LEAVING. This started on Saturday when we needed to get our cat in for an urgent appointment but SouthPark didnt have any appointments open, so we had to take our cat to Deer Creek Animal Hospital (which is a 24x7x365 day practice). They handled our situation and made recommendations to have our cats teeth cleaned with extractions. On Monday, I called SPAC and canceled the appt we had for the afternoon as we had been seen over the weekend by Deer Creek. I asked for Dr. Dave to return my call with an estimate for cleaning, being that the lab work had been completed by DC on Saturday. No call back. On Wednesday, I called again and requested that Dr. Dave or someone call me back with an estimate as we this was an urgent situation. I stated that we needed to shop around due to cost and wanted to give Dr. Dave the opportunity. He never called us back. Instead the email below was sent to my husbands email account. This practice has gone from a caring practical veterinary care to a money making business with no concern whatsoever for the family members they are treating. This vet has to pay the bills of their new building somehow and services are no longer reasonable and practical. Unlike heathcare for people, vet care is a luxury. After leaving two messages for the vet this week, and receiving the following from their practice, it doesnt appear they value their long-standing customers. Whats interesting is that I never left a message for "Donna Specht", I left one for "Dave" but apparently he has someone else do the "dirty" work. "Dear xxxxx, It has come to my attention that you have requested a Dental estimate for TJ from SouthPark Animal Clinic. Dr. Specht and I have reviewed your file and see that TJ has not been in for a visit at SouthPark in well over a year, but notes from telephone conversations indicate that you have been unhappy with some of the recommendations that were made by our staff. We do have notes from your recent visit to Deer Creek Animal Clinic and it appears that you have been more satisfied with the service you received there. It is in TJs best interst that you continue to take TJ to the veterinary clinic where you can work best with the staff and appears that SouthPark Animal Clinic is not the right fit for you and TJ. We are happy to send all your records to Deer Creek Animal Clinic or the clinic of your choice; we hope your new veterinary service is a successful change for you. I am posting this on my sons Google account. I am Rhonda Adkins I took my little mini dauchund in for a dental to remove his teeth as he is older and teeth were really bad. I thought they were going to remove all of his teeth but no they only did half of his mouth. I was told that they were going to do the rest of the teeth for a discount price. This in itself was very upsetting to me cause I explained to them I am disabled on a fixed income low income to begin with they assured me they could do the all teither for the price they quoted to me. They were lower then other places I checked so I trusted them. Well as it turned out that didnt happen at all. We were moving when this happened and I became very ill I had many health issues with my heart. I ended up having to have open heart surgery which is very stressful on me also being very ill for months. I went there today because I am better now still recovering from surgery but a lot better and able to get my little dog in now for his teeth. I know it has been over a year but it was so long cause of being so sick myself I am so disappointed and angry at them I had to make an appointment to talk to them and they charged me 50.00 for it. No understanding or compassion about my situation at all. They said it was my little dogs yearly check up. Yet they did nothing listened to his heart was all no temperature or anything. They also would not honor the discounted price they claimed they would give me. Feeling very ripped off and deceived by them from the very beginning. I really dont feel at this point they deserve 1 star. Wow just read some more reviews on them on here and I agree with person who said all they want is your money.

I have taken Slash to Dr. Specht for all 9 years of his life so far and will continue to do so. Although Slash may not enjoy seeing him (haha), he is a complete professional who clearly has a passion for what he does. This may come across as weird sounding but you can tell he cares more about the pets than the owners. Dr. Specht along with the rest of his staff clearly have a love for animals. Im fortunate to have done business with them for so long and look forward to continuing that.

I recently had to put my best friend down and Dr.Jeremy went above and beyond in my dogs final moments. He was gentle yet swift with medication to ease my horror, I am sure Moogie had already left the building.. It was after hours yet the tone was already set with a very soft blanket big enough for for me to lie with my dog.. Thank you to all the fine people that work at PCAH. Okay,now I will stop crying. This is the most caring vet clinic Ive ever come across. Dr. Specht is extremely thorough in his practice and you can tell he actually cares about your pet. We brought our hedgehog in for throwing up and he followed up after talking with other vets and even sent a letter to our apartment asking how our hedgehog was. Its so nice to know that there are actually caring vets out there!

Its hard to find exotic animal vets in general, and ones who are regularly available, so we were so happy to find Dr. Specht just down the road. We have four pet rats, so its important to us that we have a vet who knows rats and their special needs, and Dr. Specht was very knowledgeable and friendly the whole time. Very excited to have a rat vet nearby!

Amazing gentle staff!! Theyve helped or family pets live and theyve help them pass on with dignity! They send our babies birthday cards. Theyve also donated to one of the Universitys in our late Abbys and our name. I believe for research to help them understand more of the seriousness life threatening illness. Such as Diabeties like out Abby did

Very caring, realistic, and helpful during a difficult time. You can tell the whole staff has your animals best interest in mind. They took their time with us; we are very appreciative and cant thank the staff enough.
