This is the 2nd time I have taken an animal to them because my normal vet was close. the first time was on a Saturday in 2010 they treated her and told me my dog was ok and take her home then she past away within the hour. I said I wouldnt go to them again and they closed in bear valley off Dartmouth. When I got my second dog and she got sick I needed a vet that was open and found that my vet was close and seen this on google and took her to this place (didnt know they reopen at a different location and was the same company) and took my Boxer there they gave her a treatment and said she was ok and was told to take her home. Again I lost my beloved dog of 6 years my only comfort animal that helps me. Again she died in less 8 hours. After contacting the Boxer society I learned it is a common Boxer illness that happens and with the correct medicine AND treatment she would have lived and still be with me. All I can say if you treat dog of special breeds know your ANIMALS. This could have been preventive. I understand you were busy with a cat that needed to be put to sleep and with their family, but make sure the others that come in get the correct treatment that is needed. Yes, the people was nice and all an I did have a wait time. At least I got time to spend with my dog while we was there before she left me.

HORRIBLE customer service and poor communication skills. This is why we are switching to a completely different clinic. The receptionists are ALWAYS rude and there "shots for life" plan is a terrible deal. The veterinarian told us if we get this plan our dogs basic shots would be taken care of each year. This "one time payment" cost us of a couple hundred dollars. When it was time for his shots again they continued to charge us $30 per shot and told us they had no records of our purchase of the "shots for life". I was shocked and upset that they could fail to document such an expensive investment. So we had to search and search till we found our receipts to prove our purchase. The ENTIRE process they gave us a hard time and were COMPLETELY unprofessional. Even after we proved our purchase there was no apology or acknowledgment for there mistake. Not the first or last rude interaction we had. So we stopped going to them. Unfortunately, we still needed to get our dogs documentation on his past vaccines so we could transfer him to a different clinic. Wich to no surprise they continued to give us a hard time by being sarcastic, rude and unprofessional. I think they were upset we were switching but what do expect. From the beginning to the end it was a horrible experience.

I would rate this place a zero if I could. DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED PETS HERE! Their only interested in putting money in their pockets. I brought my bull terrior pup here a few months ago to get an abcess on his nose checked out. They suggested I bring him in for x-rays with the possibility of removing some of his teeth. I scheduled the appointment and brought him in. The x-rays showed he had an infection and several teeth that needed to be removed. Instead of prescribing him an antibiotic for the infection and rescheduling the appointment after the infection went down, Dr Carola pulled his teeth anyway. During the procedure he went into cardiac arrest and died. Dr told me, "He was very sick, it had to be genetics or something wrong with his organs for this to happen." I sent him in for a necropsy (autopsy), to find out what happened. There was nothing geneticly wrong with him and his organs were in good condition. The infection entered into his bloodstream and killed him. Then Dr. Carola had the nerve to charge me $900! Which by the way was a discount, for signing a lawsuit waiver. I would of never paid them a dime, but they had Chicos ashes and that meant more to me. BEWARE of this place!

2 hours after adopting our dog from the shelter, we found out she had ticks! Having never owned a dog before, I wasnt sure what to expect from our (same day!) vet appointment. Dr. Stevenson not only addressed the ticks, but patiently answered all of our questions and sent us home with loads of information. The whole clinic has been so wonderful with our dog, and willing to help us and stay late to help us find the home of a lost dog. They are invaluable neighborhood resources, and treat every animal that comes through the doors as their own. They even taught us how to perform dog CPR at an open house! I recommend them to all of our family, friends and neighbors- because they treat everyone, 2- or 4- legged, with love and respect.

I had the most amazing Vet experience ever and Ive only been in once! The Vet Tech Catherine was wonderful and understanding. She knew how to get my Doberman out of her shell. Samy Lyons did an excellent job explaining everything they were about to do and what the plans were to help my dog with her stiff neck. They werent over bearing or were pushy with recommendations. They didnt recommend unnecessary things that werent going to improve the health of my dog like other Vet Clinics have done in the past. My husband and I were super impressed overall and are planning to take our 2nd dog in soon. It is such a relief to find someone knowledgeable, caring and trustworthy with your fur babies. Thank you Bear Valley Vet Care!

Both Dr. Stevenson and Dr. Cole are fantastic veterinarians and truly care for and about your pet. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and kind - never wasting a second to attend to you and make sure your pet is happy and healthy! It doesnt hurt that they are all super cute! The doctors take every precaution to make sure your pet is receiving the best care & check all potential issues before putting them under anesthesia. They even have a cat-friendly exam room and take precautions to make sure your cat wont be encountering lots of dogs during their visit. I totally trust the doctors with my pets and I would recommend Bear Valley to any cat or dog owner in the Denver/Lakewood area.

We love Bear Valley Vet! We have been faithful clients for about a year, and our two dogs LOVE coming in (which they have multiple time besides their normal check-ups)! We had a scare earlier this year, and everyone we worked with was great in working us through this scare, and getting on multiple phone calls with us to explain everything and allowing us to come in and "visit" him while he was getting the care he needed. It is amazing the difference it has made in his life and our life! And an added plus, we can tell they truly love and care for our crazy dogs, even though they have to manage two anxious over-protective hypochondriac dog parents!

We love the girls at this clinic! I bring my little dog to see them and have for the past 4 years. They always know me by my first name when I come in and are so good with my baby. I dont always have the finances to do everything I would like to do for her but they are always understanding and give me other options. I referred my parents to this clinic as well and they travel 30 minutes to go there because they are so loving and happy to see our pets. I have had bad experiences before with previous vets but I highly recommend this office to my friends and family.
