TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION and care. I had been taking my 3 cats to Dr. Anderson at Baxter Creek for several years and had always felt happy. Then one of my cats became extremely ill. They ran several very expensive tests, and told me to give my cat medication that may or may not help her. They were just "Trying something." Well, I tried my best to medicate my cat but she threw up everything. I called them and tried so hard to communicate what was going on at home with the cat. They ignored me. Meanwhile my cat got worse and worse within a period of days. Every time I tried to call and ask for advice or get her back in to be seen, I was ignored and didnt receive a call back. Until I finally got a call back and one of the vet Techs- Shanna- told me that I was being rude to call so much (which I wouldnt have had to do if someone would have spoken to me!). I gave up on Baxter Creek and transferred my cat to another Vet. My cat died a day later. I blame my cats death entirely on Dr. Creek and the rude vet tech. Shanna and the staff at Baxter Creek for not taking me or my concerns about my cats health seriously. I had to watch her get worse and worse while they did nothing and refused to communicate with me. They found me and my persistence "annoying." Well, I am willing to be persistent when my cat is dying. I had been a loyal client and referred many new patients to them in the past. No more. In fact, the new Vet I went to were wonderful and had amazing communication. They were shocked at the treatment (or lack thereof) my cat received at Baxter Creek. I was even told that if action had been taken sooner she could have been saved. Baxter Creek did not take me seriously or care enough about my animal to give her quality care. DO NOT GO TO DR. ANDERSON at BAXTER CREEK. If you value communication and quality care then steer. clear.

Dr. Pearson was very negligent in the care of our dog. She was unable to diagnose or use the necessary equipment to take x-rays or an ultrasound when they were requested. Our dog was receiving in office care for multiple days for pain and yet she did not receive any pain meds and was returned to our care quivering and whimpering. When asked if she could administer pain meds, I was handed a syringe to administer in the parking lot which turned out not to be an appropriate pain med and did nothing for her symptoms. She said the next time our dog came in the clinic she was required to receive a rabies shot however she was dying of cancer. When we contacted the owner, Dr. Anderson, he did not care to follow up on our complaints. After having dogs for decades, I was horrified at the lack of basic vet knowledge on the part of Dr. Pearson. I had to make suggestions for the care of my dog at this office as the vet continued stating she did not know what to do. They were great at running up the bill but did nothing to alleviate our dogs pain. We were referred to this office as Dr. Anderson was reportedly a caring vet but our experience was terrible. We found another local vet who immediately got her pain under control and quickly found that indeed she had cancer throughout her body which had ruptured and she had been suffering horribly. I wish I had this knowledge and had avoided this vet practice.

While visiting Baxter Creek for a vaccination update neither me, nor my dog felt welcome. None of my questions were given definitive answers and instead were left open ended as the vet talked to himself. Only brief overviews of the vaccinations were given as if they were trying to "sell" me on the idea of additional vaccines and spend more. On exiting the examination room, the secretarial help were unaccommodating and hard to work with. Unable to perform simple tasks or communicate, we ended our interaction with the secretary staff and left unsatisfied and frustrated. The experience was awkward and has swayed me to change veterinary clinics. I was not expecting the vet to be so odd with my dog, it was as if he had no inclination as to how to interact with animals. I am not speaking on the behalf of all the veterinarians at Baxter Creek, as I was only forced to endure the terrible work of one of their male employees. I suggest, in consideration of Baxter Creek, you make an appointment with one of their female Doctors.

I adopted a cat several months ago from a shelter who was (unknowingly) extremely sick and Dr. Anderson was the only one who picked up on it. He diagnosed her correctly and how sick and suffering she was; I made the decision to put her to sleep and the experience with us three in the room was so peaceful. Even after that experience I would do it the same way even knowing she was sick, as Dr. Anderson made it very comfortable and explained everything thoroughly. I have since adopted another cat and he treated her for serious eye and ear infections which are totally gone now. He is in my opinion very knowledgeable and compassionate. I trust him completely with Izzy and would highly recommend him without reservation to anyone. His staff are wonderful and friendly as well.

Awful experience. Very, very expensive with poor care. My fiance and I took our four dogs there for almost five years for their check ups and shots. Then one day when our got really sick they performed a SURGERY that turned out to be UNNECESSARY and still charged a ton of money for it, which we paid in full. Then two months later when our dog got sick again and actually did need surgery in order to live, they refused to accept any kind of payment plan that was not up front and in full, even though we had blown all of our savings (including our wedding fund) on the first unnecessary surgery and we had given them a ton of business over the years. Their solution was put the dog down or put it in a shelter. Unfortunate to find out after five years the kind of business they are.

Very frustrated with my experience with Baxter Creek. Over the course of 4 visits in 3 weeks, I was shuffled back and forth between vets who did not seem familiar with my dogs case. When they could not properly diagnose her, they either couldnt or wouldnt to refer me to someone who could. When they did finally refer me to a specialist, they directed me to someone whos specialty was not within my requirements, and it was ultimately a waste of my time. I did not receive any of the follow up calls that I was told I would, and when I called to follow up myself, they seemed confused, and asked more questions than they were able to provide answers for (In regards to medication and dosage). I am very disappointed with the lack of concern and professionalism at Baxter Creek.

I have three cats and two dogs and I love Dr Anderson! He is so kind and compassionate and takes a very real approach to medicine for my animals. I had a previous vet that was constantly talking me into things that turned out most time the animals didnt need. He is always practical and gives them what they need but not a lot of fluff to up my bill. He is always knowledgeable and answers any silly questions I have. The girls that work the desk and are techs are always friendly and very helpful - sometimes bringing in multiple animals alone is tough - always a smile and a help. As far as pricing I havent found this practice to be any more than any others in the area...
