GOUGERS BEWARE!!! The Paseks, father and daughter, are out for nothing but to get you to write them a 3 or 4 digit check everytime you walk in. Our puppy was having problems with his intestinal tract and all they ever did was suggest that we switch him to perscription food, add benefiber to his diet and ensure that we get as many tests done. When I was doing research on his symptoms people suggested that he might have a food allergy. Any time that I would suggest this to either of the "Doctors" they would balk at it and say that, "His symptoms suggest that this is somethign more serious." After over 2500.00+ worth of visits and every test coming back negative i got fed up. I found a natural pet food store got him on a basic raw diet and within 2 days everything cleared up. Turns out he is alergic to chicken! Two of the times that I was there I heard a distressed dog owner expressing the same thing that the 700.00 tests seemed a bit much but of course the manipulation of the Gougers was, "Well what if it is something serious, are you willing to take that chance?" DO NOT USE THIS VET!

All of my families pets that I can ever remember having have gone to Academy and I have nothing but good things to say about this place, and that spans 30 years. We have had numerous pets with major illnesses and both of the Paseks were there to help my wife and I out. We had a dog with a very rare form of anemia and were going to the VRCC for transfusions weekly (and no, it was not just Pasek throwing an "I dont know" diagnostic and malicously taking my money, it baffeled 3 different specialist vets). In between transfusions my dog (who ultimatly passed :( ) would get very ill and I would worry a ton. I would call Dr. Pasek to get his opinion on symptoms, and every time he ended the call by saying, "Bring her in and we will have a look". This was in the middle of an already booked day and the most amazing part is that he did not charge me for him to drop what he was doing and help us. Both he and his daughter do truly care about animals, and will go out of their way to help. My entire family uses Academy and I am very happy that it is being passed down to Dr. Paseks daughter.

Having never had to take my dog to the vet before, I was very nervous about horror stories of upselling vets who have poor bedside manner. I had the opposite experience at Academy! Anne was absolutely phenomenal! They were very upfront with pricing in addition affordable care. There were availabilities for an appointment even though I was in a crunch. They prefer to do things as naturally as possible without surgery. My dog was attacked by another dog and was absolutely terrified but they helped him have a good experience and calmed him down. They were clear about all of my options, the prices, and the benefits of each. They sincerely cared about my personal well-being but were especially attentive to my dog. I noticed results within a few hours that my dog was feeling so much better! I will return in a heartbeat!

Honest and knowledgeable care, I could always rely upon them to provide great care. They also helped me with euthanasia of a sick dog and were compassionate and kind. Then I moved away, and it has been difficult finding a good vet in my new location. So if you are lucky enough to live nearby, highly recommended. They have also been great about sending records to new vets.
