Visiting Dr. Daveh Sarhangpour was about the biggest mistake of my life. While on vacation from Florida, we took our 16 year old maltese to Dr. Sarhangpour, as she was suffering from arthritis. We were due to go home in five days and asked the Vet for something that may offer her temporary relief until we got home. He prescribed Previcox. Two days later our dog was dead. Almost immediately she began having bloody bouts of diarrhea. It is my opinion that the drug tore up my dogs stomach. My specific complaints with Dr. Sarhangpour are: 1. We specifically asked if there were side effects, and the Vet said only if she was on the drug for a prolonged time. 2. The FDA WEBSITE says, "This product cannot be accurately dosed in dogs less than 12.5 pounds in body weight". My maltese weighed 6 lbs at the time and the Vets assistant had weighed my dog in the office. 3. Good Prvevicox on Line. This can be found on line - "Arthritis Pain Drug Previcox kills The FDA has released information concerning non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for pets - including Metacam, Deramaxx, Previcox and Rimadyl - that shows they have been connected to 100,000 cases of illness in dogs, almost 63,000 of which were fatal". 4. Vets are encouraged to distribute literature about drugs and their side effects. This Vet gave us nothing but assurance that there were no side effects. Six months later, my family is heartbroken. Nothing will ever replace my emotional support dog that was taken from me, but if one person reads this and it helps them, I will be grateful. Shouldnt I, the customer be told that this drug cannot be accurately dosed in dogs under 12 lbs??? Shouldnt I be informed of such a MAJOR issue regarding small dogs and Previcox? My dog had NEVER had bloody diarrhea in her life. How ironic that after one dose, she has 6 bouts of bloody diarrhea and then dies. For this vet to say that my dog had several major health issues is erroneous. He only examined her once, and ran NO tests on her. I cannot recommend this Vet whatsoever.

The way this clinic deals with the monetary side of the business has left me disappointed and a little concerned. They are not communicative as to what the full cost and procedures will entail with your pet. They seem to "ease" you into paying more money for more treatment. For example, a recent visit resulted in an X-ray and some medication, and a request for a follow-up just to see how the medication was going. At the follow up visit, without explaining this to me previously they said in order to continue medication they would have to do an expensive full blood screening, and would not issue a new prescription without doing so. They knew they would ask for this in the beginning, but neglected to inform me of this expected cost until later. I felt backed into a corner at that point. In other visits I have also had this "oh, by the way" cost-adding experience, including some questionable fees such as "X-ray set-up" on top of an initial X-ray cost and subsequent X-ray costs. I quickly learned to see an estimate before agreeing to anything because you never knew what extra fee there would be, even if asking the staff the cost ahead of time. But you cant prep for the added cost of extra procedures when they dont inform you of them until you are already dedicated to their diagnosis and treatment plan. It felt very bait-and-switch and I could not take it any more. In addition to this, cost for items seem rather inflated over what I have experienced in the vet care industry. On the positive side, the facility is nice and clean, and the staff is nice. Not worth the extra money though, in my opinion.

Beyond excellent. I found the legacy veterinary clinic after in depth research, for my familys aging golden retriever Casey. I am a skeptic at heart, with a research hobby, and anything but a easy sell, every bit of my trust has to be earned. As anyone who has gone through the experience can attest the last year of a pets life is by far the hardest and requires the most care both from you and from your vet. I was impressed time and time again in how both Dr. Sarhangpour and the entire office handled each situation that arose. Helping us provide the very best care possible for Casey while still being careful to avoid unnecessary treatments that wouldnt improve his quality of life and only cause him needless discomfort. The level of care for they provide verses the cost is, in truth, shocking. They are a vet that truly puts the animals first. The empathy, professionalism, and compassion shown by the entire clinic was beyond reproach. They are truly a clinic that cares deeply for the animals we all love, and you can trust them to do just that. Caseys lost to us now but I can say without doubt that his last year was far better than it possibly could have been if I hadnt found Legacy Veterinary clinic.

We are so grateful to Dr. Kaveh Sarhangour and his entire staff at the Legacy Veterinary Clinic. We found Dr. Sarhangpour very professional, knowledgeable, and very caring. He cared for our dogs like his own. His entire staff were all friendly, polite, and made us feel very comfortable during a difficult time for us. Although we were hesitant to make the far drive from our home in DTC to their offices in Westminster, we are sure glad that we did! For the first time in 6 years we had 2 major medical issues with both of our Bichon dogs. Dr Sarhangpour patiently listened to our concerns and all the questions that we asked him. He explained every procedure, test, and treatment in great detail, which made us feel very confident that our babies were in good hands. He was able to correctly diagnose and efficiently treat both of our dogs for their serious medical issues. Their level of communication with us throughout the whole process was above and beyond what we would have expected. Both of our babies are doing wonderful now thanks to Dr Sarhangpour and his whole staff and we would highly recommend this place to everyone! Thank you all and God Bless you all!

Will not go back and do not recommend to anybody. They will tell you that your pet has allergies and needs to be on a very expensive and very dangerous drug called Apoquel. This is a scam! Please research this dangerous drug first! It causes lymphoma cancer and has many other terrible side effects. After they told me my dog needed this drug (because he gets allergies twice a year, which we easily cure with Benadryl) they refused to take the unopened $140, 30 day dose back after we did our research and found out the problems it is causing in other dogs. They are only interested in perscibing your dog drugs that are expensive and require more expensive blood work every 90 days to keep you coming back. I believe this vet is only interested in maximizing profit and not the accurate care and treatment of your pet. Always get a second opinion, especially when they tell you your healthy pet needs to be on a life long, dangerous drug made by Phizer.

We had our first visit to Legacy Veterinary Clinic today. Dr. Sarhangpour came highly recommended to us. We were very pleased with the care our pet received here. Dr. Sarhangpour has a very gentle approach to help ease the animals anxiety. He really took the time to listen to our concerns and gather a full medical and behavioral history. We were extremely pleased with the thoroughness of the exam . Dr. Sarhangpour explained the situation to us in terms we could understand and answered all of our questions! The clinic is clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, not to mention the state of the art equipment - wow!!! So happy to have such a great veterinary clinic in our neighborhood!! I highly recommend this clinic to all pet owners!!
