There are previous reviews clouded with angry emotion towards their experience at VCA Anderson, so I am going to balance them out with my own very positive and emotional life-altering experience with this hospital. I will forever hold the staff at VCA Anderson dear to my heart. If not for Dr. Rachel Savoy, DVM and the team of compassionate, understanding, and very accommodating staff at the hospital I doubt we would have made if through this past four weeks of prep, surgical removal and recovery. Brought my pup, Kalani, in July 8 to check a mass on the right side of her head that grew in just five weeks from the size of a small pea to the size of an apricot. A biopsy via aspiration had to be sent to an outside lab but was very quickly returned and on July 12 she was given the diagnosis of Mast Cell Tumor. The estimates provided to us were accurate as possible, as was thorough explanation of treatment plan and addressing all of my personal concerns and questions both in person and via phone/email. An outside specialist was brought in to remove the tumor based on location making removal with clean margins a daunting task that also required removal of her ear flap, nerves to her face and salivary glands. Post surgery, Dr. Savoy has checked in with me many times to ensure Kalani is comfortable and that her recovery is going well. She has offered advice and referrals to oncologists for further treatment of Kalanis cancer. She is the kind of vet you want taking care of you dog when as a parent you are no longer able to. We are eternally grateful to Dr. Savoy, the vet techs, the front office staff and all the loving, caring people at VCA Anderson who make the care of both the pet in need and the owner a top priority. Additionally, it made me very happy to see that this hospital is overseen by three women as lead DVMs and staffed almost entirely by women. My niece wants to grow up to be a vet and when I told her about Dr. Savoy and the women at this hospital, her eyes lit up with excitement and empowerment that she can do her part to change the lives of animals and their owners the way VCA Anderson did for Kalani and I. Thank you, Everyone at VCA for loving Kalani and giving her the care she deserved. You are all the kind of people making the world a better place to be and have been a shining light for Kalani and I to help us during this difficult time.

I honestly wouldnt even put one star. But anyways I took my baby k9 here, and they said that they had to drain her bump under her skin. They wanted to charge about 600-800 dollars. I said okay fine. Can you guys make sure thats the only bump she has. They said of course well take care of her.... They also gave her shots for stuff that wasnt due till another six months. Which of course charged me for something I didnt know they were going to proceed. After so two weeks later she had another bump! I took her in and they said they have to do the same thing, same cost! I was furious, not only did they not check her entire body, but they will charge me again, when they didnt do theyre job all at once! I got angry and took my k9 to planned pet hood and they said she doesnt need a drainage she just needs to drink her medication and intake a lot of nutrients from food and water to fight off her infection. And so to sum it up. VCA Anderson a profit clinic/hospital Is the worse beyond worse! Not only did they cut my baby girl for no reason, gave her extra vaccines that wasnt due, didnt take care of her correctly, also provided unnecessary treatments. All for money. Im fine with paying to make her feel better, but not when theyre going to keep torturing her over and over when it should have been taken care of all at once. Do not I repeat do not come here. There paper works are also very unorganized. My pup got her vaccines and on documents that they return to me shows "overdue" when I just got them done the day before.

Just recently switched to this clinic for all of my pets, as I had a great experience bringing my bird here in December. The facility is clean and feels relaxed, unlike some clinics Ive been to where its chaotic and stressful, and everyone has been really warm and friendly. I dont feel rushed when I ask questions, I feel listened to and heard, and I believe my pets are getting quality care here. One of my cats needed a dental cleaning/extractions, and while this isnt the cheapest place around, its also not the most expensive. The vet called me during the procedure to let me know what was going on, what she found in my cats mouth, and got my "okay" to proceed, which I really appreciated. I was given detailed instructions about aftercare, and they made sure I didnt leave confused or with unanswered questions. Any time Ive called or emailed with a question or concern, Ive received a prompt and thorough response, and I believe that everyone Ive interacted with at Anderson genuinely cares about animals. They are gentle and kind...to both my animals, and me! I dont dread going to this clinic, which is new for me. Its been nothing but pleasant experiences so far, which will keep me coming back time after time. Keep up the great work!

My first contact with VCA Anderson was with Alicia, by telephone. I can tell you that this lady is a shining example of what true customer relations is all about. Alicia made me certain from the start that I had found a very special place. She was knowledgeable, compassionate and willing to help. Not only did she go out of her way to provide me with as much information as she could, but she went one step further and offered to let me speak with a Dr. At this point I was not even a client! The next truly impressive thing was that the Dr. called me back right away, which in itself speaks very highly as to the kind of people you will find here. Dr. Lutz did something else truly amazing. SHE LISTENED! Her patient, unhurried manner and obvious knowledge of guinea pigs coupled with the fact that she was caring enough to speak with me at length, told me that this was a veterinarian who would never leave you wondering if she heard what you said, or leave your questions unanswered . I have no doubt that between Dr. Lutz and Alicia, and the staff here,,,your pet will be treated with kindness and skill, and you will feel very good about leaving them in their care.

Initially, this clinic provided good care for my dogs. In a lifetime of owning dogs, I have only had two instances where I needed emergency care. In both cases, this occurred about 30 minutes before they closed. In both cases, I was turned away because the vet would not extend their day by 10 minutes to see my pet. How can you call yourself an animal care provider facility or how did you become vets if this is how you show your commitment to your profession of healing? Shame on you, VCA Anderson, shame on you and your staff. Keep your animals away from this clinic. Find a vet that cares about being a vet and the animals they treat. After ten years as a faithful customer, I will never set foot in this place again and I will share my story with all who will listen.
