Let me start by saying this group was recommended to me by several people I trust because they were thorough and attentive. However, I have not experienced this. 1. The staff never checked my chart for previous notes - they found my pregnancy shocking despite the fact they did the test there. Also when I miscarried, they didnt pass this on to anyone else that saw me - I had to explain the miscarriage 4 times that day. 2. I asked for my blood pressure once, and was told "I forgot." Apparently the nurse/assistant couldnt be bothered to open their computer and tell me again. We also had a prescription that was written wrong. This is a med that my partner had been on for a long time. I brought the old bottle with us to the appointment to make sure it was written correctly. We were assured that the prescription would be taken care of and sent to the pharmacy. It wasnt close. Each time (4 times total), I would have to wait at the pharmacy and then be shown (by the pharmacist) that the prescription wasnt correct still. Finally I went to the office and spoke front desk staff, who said they were the one the pharmacist had been talking to. They tried to play it off as the pharmacist was crazy and didnt know what they were talking about. When I pointed out that I heard each conversation and looked at each prescriptions, the front staff member got rude and short with me. Needless to say we were out of medication long before it got resolved. They also had my partner come in to the office monthly for lab work. Our previous primary care office would only have him come in quarterly. They never called us with any result, but would instead leaving vague messages stating we needed to schedule a follow up appointment quickly indicating something may have changed. Nope, no changes, all they wanted was to see him so they could say "good job" and "keep doing what youre doing." Well, these visits started (office visit fee for lab draws and the follow up visit) to add up, so we asked if my partner could get his labs drawn around the corner (like the same building, a few suites over) at the lab testing office where we wouldnt have extra charges. Nope, they had to assure the quality of the draw. Really? If they can test it shouldnt they be able to draw it too? No one in the office knows how to communicate unless its through the precious patient portal, which is broken or doesnt work half the time. If you call in, you get the distinct privilege of speaking to one of their rude front staff who clearly have more important things to do. Dont expect this to be better in person either. Theyre just as rude and uninterested. If you do get a chance to leave a message to speak to someone, prepare to leave several. I left 4 messages over the span of 10 days before I ever got a call back. I didnt call at odd hours or off hours. I left clear messages with a call back and reasons. All of these messages were just to pay a bill. Which leads me to the last straw. I got a lovely letter stating I would be sent to collections for a small amount if it was not paid in the next 10 days. Well the letter is dated for one day and the envelope is post marked for 2 days later. Well, thats 2 days gone right there. The letter also says they sent me 3 statements asking for payment. What statements? Ive never received one. My partner has never received one. Of course I want to pay my bill and will do so in person given the trials above, but what lunacy. I hope everyone has a better experience than I did. Naturally I will be looking for a new primary care and would only recommend this office to someone who has lots of time and patience. I can also say that each time I called the office for each of these instances, I was never rude back, raised my voice or threatened anything. I work in health care too. Were all human, things happen, but enough is enough.

I am a patient at Westmed Family Healthcare. I really appreciate the time the doctors and physician assistants give to me when I have an appointment. I love to see the smiling faces at the front office and the conversation they have with me making me feel like they have known me forever and are truly concerned with how I feel. I also appreciate the fact that they help me financially by letting me know what to expect to pay at each visit and whether or not I have a balance so I can stay current on my account. They tell me that if I ever need to speak with the billing department to help me understand my insurance and what I will owe that I can make an appointment or ask as detailed of questions possible via the patient portal. I love using the patient portal. I sometimes need to make appointments at 10:00 or later because my day is busy and I love the idea I can log on at my convenience and make an appointment that is fitting into my schedule. If you are looking for a friendly and personal doctors office, I stronger urge you to go visit Westmed Family.

I recently found Westmed Family Healthcare. I have never been so pleased with a doctors office as I am with this group. From the begining to the end they were on time, friendly, and made me feel so comfortable. The office is clean and very pleasant to visit. I had zero wait time and I was there in the middle of the day. That was awesome. They explained their online appointments and patient portal to me and showed me how to log on to my very own account so I can make appointments, send messages to staff and review my record. This is so easy. I have had several appointments now with Dr. Etienne and I just cant say enough about him. He is absolutely the best physician I have ever seen. He took a lot of time with me. He explained in plain english his plan of treatment for me and when I needed to return. When I got home I had a question so I logged into my patient account and sent him the question. He answered before the end of the day. I am so glad I found a doctors office who gets it. Thank you Westmed!

Im mixed up about this place. I liked the Doctor, but I think that they are trying to pull one over on my wife. We have an insurance card, the insurance card says that the co-pay is $20. They have charged me $20. We got a letter in the mail that they "somehow" have been charging her $15 for the co-pay and we owe $10 and that they "sent" 3 other invoices (never received) and they are going to get a collection agency on us. They must be sending it by pigeon. Its $10. Collection agency? My wife was there 6 weeks ago, how come no one said anything? Also, If my insurance card says $20, I highly doubt that they are collecting $15. Im more concerned that they cant see but theyre in the business of treating people. Also, the office staff doesnt want to talk to you. Except to take your money (or some of it). Portal. Even their voice mail says that theyll respond by portal. If I wanted to be treated like crap Ill go to the doctor in the supermarket.
