I had a few horriable experinces there few years,while i liked Dr.Cavanna shes very careing, Dr.kraut on the other hand should not be working with animals. I brought 1 of my dogs there for pyometra, i knew she was sick as a breeder i am very well aware of the signs of pyo, i brought my girl in and he was going to do nothing but prescribe bland diet and meds.until i made him do an ultrasound,upon ultrasoind he did see an abnormality in the uterus,i had he spayed the next day sure enough she was headed in the direction of a pyo. The next time I had a girl in whelp with 3 large puppies,upon giving birth to the first she struggled for about 2-21/2 hrs with the 2nd puppy even after oxytocin, i called concerned that if the puppy didnt pass it would die and possiably my girl to, i called spoke with Dr.Kraut was ready to bring her in for a c section, all he could say was " I cant do a c section today,my son has a ball game at 4:30" (i called during office hours) so my dog should have been seen. So he was willing to let my dog and 2 of her puppies die bacause he couldnt miss his kids game.. really, thus guy has no care about animals,he should not be in this field.IMHO.

Have been taking my animals to LHVH for a few years. Always very happy with the compassionate and very knowledgeable staff. This last visit, Dr. Will realized we needed further answers to our dogs problem and recommended a cardiology vet appointment. I appreciate that fact that she knew we needed further answers and that a specialized vet would probably be where we would get to the bottom of our concern. She was right - sent us to a particular vet specializing in cardiology. Our dog is somewhat of an enigma and two vets have had questions: one in an emergency situation when we were in Vermont and finally here. My husband and I so appreciated that we will know exactly what we are dealing with. These vets do care - a lot.

I tend to dislike most vets because they "manhandle" my dogs and my 150lb mastiff is very apprehensive and anxious already. I was shocked at how the Doctor understood that she was nervous and took the most gentle approach I have ever seen. He went at her pace even though that meant taking extra time with us. I am a dog trainer and I use no force training and I dont like to force my dog to do anything when I can coax her. So, meeting a vet who was not forceful, but also thorough was amazing. Best vet ever. I also felt that the prices for a new patient, examine, tests and meds were very reasonable. I cant say enough great things about the vet and the rest of the friendly staff.

Dr. Kraut, Dr. Cavanna, and staff gave my kitten excellent care when he swallowed a piece of string. Dr Kraut did an xray and found that he had another foreign object stuck in his stomach. He was willing to perform a surgery at lunch time to remove it, but he gave me the option of non-surgical treatment for a day. When my kitten did not make progress after a day, the doctors made room in their schedules for surgery. Dr. Cavanna called me shortly after surgery and again the next morning to update me on my kittens progress. All the staff said good bye to him when he was discharged from the hospital.

We have been trusting the care of our furry family to LHVH for many years. We have always been able to trust the staff to treat our pets warmly, This may not sound like much but it means a great deal to us. Doctors Kraut and Cavanna will make sure to discuss all options for treatment. They will take the time to explain what you can expect from treatment. And when the time comes to cross the rainbow bridge they are there for us. Oh and did i mention the new paved parking lot and sidewalk. If you want care and service you can count on call LHVH

If you want your animals to receive quality, loving care then this is the place to take them! Both of the doctors have cared for our beloved pets. A cranky 15 year old kitty and a 5 year old Lhasa Apso whom we rescued 3 years ago. Oliver was a frequent flyer and they were always patient and kind with him. They also provided me with emotional support when the time came for him to cross the Rainbow Bridge. In addition the staff is awesome, very accommodating and helpful. I would never take my pets anywhere else!

The staff is more than friendly and helpful. The Docs explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. They took the time to walk me through anything I asked about. At no point during my appointment did I ever feel like my dog was just another patient. We were dealt with on such personal and professional level that I knew my animals care was in the right hands. I highly recommend this practice. Take your animals here for care, you wont regret it!

Dr. Kraut is the best! He takes quality time with you and your pet and explains everything to you. He goes above and beyond to help diagnose a problem. This is a veterinary hospital you want to take your pets to.

They are always great. If I need files faxed to the groomer or kennel, they always get it done. The both the doctors are very helpful and compassionate. When I call for an appointment they often ask who I want to see, and I am always happy with either. I know when I go I am getting the best care in the area for my fur babies.

Dr Kraut takes his time and thouroughly examines your pet and really seems to care about the well being of his patients. My older cat is much more relaxed around him than she has been in other vet offices.I would hghtly recommend.
