Theres only one vet I like at this clinic yet they most often tell me hes not there or unavailable. The last time a fumbling female vet repeatedly poked a hyopdermic needle into my dogs paw cyst trying to drain the fluid. "I cant seem to find the fluid," she said, shaking with nervousness. She never did and she left it at that, with my dogs paw bleeding from repeated and unnecessary intrusions due to incompetance. She suggested I leave it be and come back if it got worse, but I was going away for the weekend and I didnt want to bring my dog to the kennel that way, knowing something worse might happen while I was gone, with the problem unattended. When I went to pay, I noticed that the vet Id wanted to see was right there and I commented on it. "Hes unavailable," I was told in an unfriendly imperious way. REALLY? With my dog needing attention? On the road, I called to complain to the office manager, who came on right away with a nasty attitude and didnt care at all about the sins that had just happened in her office. And in spite of my calm recounting of my complaints (without rancor at all), her only response was to say they were going to send me back my records (as if I was the one to blame for their incompetance and inhumanity to my dog)!!! They left my dog in bad shape and didnt care! Imagine how I felt, leaving that clinic with a dog that still needed medical attention and now I had to try to find another clinic at the last minute to see my dog! Later, I received my records from them in the mail with a nasty note from the manager telling me not to return and complaining about my "conduct" (without explaining what in Gods name I could possibly have done wrong). My conduct was exemplary, especially in light of what happened. These people should be ashamed of themselves!!!

After reading all of the bad reviews, I wonder if they have had an office staff change? All of the bad reviews are older. I cannot fanthom that these bad reviews are about this facility! Heres my story: My vet was closed. It was snowing hard and the roads were a mess. My dog ran outside and broke a nail. She was bleeding everywhere and I became frantic. I called Torrington Animal Hospital and even though this was not our regular vet, they told me to come right down and even stayed past hours in a snow storm! I was shaking when I arrived and they were just as good at calming ME down as they were in taking very good care of my dog! Truly does not sound like the same staff to me.

I have always brought my pets here. Dr. Humphry is the absolute best! He is so knowledgeable and his expertise is second to none. His prices are more than reasonable and you can tell hes a vet because he has a passion for it, not just to make a buck. He always treats us and our pets with the utmost respect. The staff has always been kind and attentive. I was actually very shocked to see the poor reviews here. Ive never had a bad experience here in the 10 years Ive used this clinic.

I have been taking my rescue dog here for a while now. Every time I have a question I can call the staff and they are very helpful. I feel the vets I have seen here were very nice and professional. My only complaint is the wait time when you have an appointment you are sometimes waiting over 30 minutes before you see the doctor. But, all in all a good vet. I especially like the older male doctor (not sure of the name)

I used them for years until they almost killed my Dachshund with to much distemper. I brought them in for regular immunizations and the vet gave him one shot and then said I dont believe that shot went in and gave him another one! By the time we got home his face was so swelled up he looked like a Rottweiller and I had to race him back up there for a steroid shot, he has not been right since. They didnt even care!

We have been bringing our cats to these vets for over 15 years. They will respectfully answer all questions and never act hurried. Our cats have received excellent care here, and I would never hesitate to recommend Dr. Humphrey or Dr. Coggins. I always feel like we are working together to keep our cats healthy. I have had no problems with the office staff. They are always friendly and helpful.

Ive been going here for 19 yrs! My puppy had an appointment for a rabies vacc. On the way he was whining in the car. Let him out to pee before going into the office and was 5 min late. They had me sit there for 12 min, then took the next patient and told me I had to reschedule!! Very unfriendly.. Miss Dr. H. Going to anothet vet now.
