I had a terrible experience with Eric Thomas, I would not even call him a doctor. I went there because it was close to my work, to have two moles removed. He spoke to me like he was above me (it seemed like to show off), yet I understood what he said based on medical classes I have taken. He kept telling me they could do this a few different ways and selected the way that would earn the practice the most money. When I asked about the second way he said I would be in too much pain; I went for that second option because I have a pretty high tolerance for pain (it ended up not being painful what so ever). I even asked a receptionist to sit in the room because I felt so uncomfortable with Eric. After the moles were removed they put bandaids on them and sent me on my way. Never told me how to clean them or if I should keep them covered. One of them did not heal properly. I tried calling the office and the two older receptionists were extremely rude to me. I then get a bill a few weeks later for a pathologist, which I had absolutely no idea he would be sending them out to be tested. Never once did he mention it and my bill was over $600.00. It was the worst treatment I have ever had, I was misinformed and extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I would never recommend Eric to anyone for any reason. The way this was handled was completely unprofessional.

I had visited him twice and for both times, he never diagnosed me right. so I had to see other doctors to get help. First time I visited Dr. Thomas, I had a rash all over my back. He took quick look and then prescripted me some cream which did not help at all. So, I had to see another doctor who really helped me. I was disapointed for a little bit because my doctor recommend him to me. Second time, I had rash and blister all over my body, this time was the worst thing in my life. I went to see my doctor and he sent me to Dr. Thomas again. I thought may be I would give a second chance because everybody can make mistake. So, I met and show him what happen to me. He looked for 10 seconds and told me that I had scabies without taking any test or skin sample or anything. He gave me permethrin cream which made thing worst and I badly suffered for a couple days then decided to go to walk-in clinic on Berlin tnnk where I was really get help. (I would really recommend this walk-in clinic, though). I am really really disapointed for his treatment and his careless decision, sorry Doctor.

The medical care I received from Dr Thomas seemed fine, but thats not the issue I have with this office. My big problem with this place is that going there is like stepping back into the 1980s. I absolutely demand that I be able to pay a bill for businesses I deal with in a convenient way in the year 2017. Their bills are not payable online, and you also cant pay over the phone. When I called to try to pay my bill the suggestion was that I mail in a check. Well, I use my HSA for healthcare bills, and there are no checks associated with it, only a debit card. So my only choice is to literally take time off from work to physically go to their office to pay a bill. This is completely ridiculous, especially since the Middlesex Hospital system has a very convenient payment site that I use to pay all of my other bills associated with Middlesex Hospital. Why doesnt Middlesex Dermatology use this same system like everyone else does? I will not be going back here simply because they are too difficult to do business with.

Recently met with Dr. Eric Thomas and found his practice to be thorough. Hes old school, but I found that comforting, especially when you dont know what might be wrong with you. Hes detailed and a professional with years of experience. By just looking at my rashes he made commentary that put me at ease. We did further testing to confirm his hypothesis and I was re-assured and satisfied. He called me when he said he would call me. While the practice was a little dated, the location is super convenient and his advice and experience more than made up for some old chairs being in the office. I will definitely leverage his experience and advice again.

I went to this Doctor because he was the ONLY Dermatologist who had an opening in the next year. I guess I know why. I have been in the medical field for over 17 years and all I can say is wow! My first visit was terrible and he didnt even listen to a word I said. He talked to me like I was inferior to him and was wasting his time, after he was 40 minutes late to my appointment. I really needed advice and he rushed me through the visit and didnt even address my concerns. He is creepy and rude and I will wait for a year to see a professional before going back to him.
