This is to recommend Dr. Diana Lopusny to anyone looking to provide the best care possible for babies and children. As a grandparent, I see how wonderful it is to have a pediatrician who employs both mainstream and alternative practices to the care of children. It only makes sense to use the best of both worlds. Raising my own children was challenging because physicians were not aware of or trained in the use of homeopathy, diet, herbal remedies, and chiropractic to aid in treating childhood illness. I used homeopathic remedies for my children because they seemed to work, but never enjoyed the confidence of knowing that a doctor had prescribed. It was a moment of great relief to have Dr. Lopusny prescribe belladonna for my infant grandson’s fever. It worked beautifully and we were able to be absolutely confident of our decision to use it! I have also been a witness to her invaluable insights on child nutrition—never even addressed when I was a young mother. I see how her guidance has worked in caring beautifully for my grandson. Other incidents serve to underscore my perception of Dr. Lopusny’s stature as an excellent physician. But one that stands out is how another doctor—a neonatologist to be specific, views her. When my newborn grandson was in the NIC-U (newborn intensive care unit) recovering from serious respiratory problems, we were anxious for him to recover and be released. The day dawned when the NIC-U neonatologist met with us to plan for the baby’s release. We were praying for the green light when this doctor asked what seemed to be a decisive question, “Who is the baby’s pediatrician?” When we said Dr. Lopusny he nodded his head and said, “Oh, Good,” signaling with his expression great relief and confidence. And with that, released the baby to normal maternity floor care knowing that Dr. Lopusny was on the job. You just could not do better than to have Dr. Diana Lopusny care for your child. You will have the confidence of both mainstream intervention and safe alternatives as you see your child through to adulthood. Deirdre Morro James

I am so happy that I found Preferred Pediatrics and Dr. Diana Lopusny. Pregnant with my son, I had almost given up hope that I would find a progressive pediatrician who could provide top-notch mainstream medical care as well as understand the applications of complimentary and alternative medicine. Dr. Lopusny provides the ideal combination of these two systems of medicine, and I am glad to have found such a state-of –the-art pediatrician so close to home. My son started his life in need of many unplanned interventions, but with Dr. Lopusny’s close monitoring of his situation and her sound judgment, he was absolutely thriving (even gaining close to a pound) less than a week after his birth. She was even able to give me some alternative advice concerning breastfeeding that the lactation specialist at the hospital hadn’t thought of. Through his first year, Dr. Lopusny was always available to answer those first-time mom questions, even at night, and has always been friendly to me and great with my son. More recently, my son caught a bad respiratory bug that had been going around, complete with fever and wheezing. Dr. Lopusny prescribed a nebulizer and made several suggestions of alternative treatments to use for fever reduction. I followed these suggestions and kept to a strict schedule with the nebulizer, but after a couple of days it was clear he no longer needed it. By the time I brought him back in (four days later) she said you could not tell he had ever been sick. Medicine is an art and a science, and Dr. Lopusny is one of the rare doctors who have a deft hand with both sides of the equation. I recommend her unreservedly.

Dr. Lopusny is absolutely amazing! When I was pregnant with our son, my husband and I were looking for the perfect pediatrician to meet our babys needs. We found that person in Dr. Lopusny. She is kind, caring, and compassionate. She rejoices with us with our joys of parenting and cried with us during some of our struggles. We are very mindful of what goes into our sons body and she is a wealth of information on homeopathic and nutritional remedies for whatever we need. She treats our son as if he were her own and that means a great deal to us. We drive from Stamford to Milford for each of his appointments. Its worth every minute and every mile of travel to know that our son is getting the highest quality care our area has to offer. We have found that most times we are there we dont wait - it often takes longer to drive to or from than for our entire experience in the office. They are fair to us and show dedicated individualized care while not eating up our entire day. I cant imagine she or her staff every displaying any kind of racist or prejudiced behavior. The review below that mentions it absolutely baffles me and I cant even imagine its the same office we go to. Ive seen families and children from all sorts of races and ethnic backgrounds demonstrated in her patient base and Ive seen her demonstrate her love of children and their health to all of them. It is ALWAYS a great day at Preferred Pediatrics.

Wonderful, caring doctor who I would take my child to. Natural remedies I bet you never heard of for symptoms of teething, stuffy noses, and ear infections. If you want to tailor or defer your childs vaccine schedule, shes happy to work with you, will invite you to do your own research, and give you sources to check out. Or, do it by the book. Ultimately youll make the decision about your own child. I worked with her 1:1 as a student for several months and was impressed with the way she really cares about her patients and families and the enthusiasm she brings. Because she has a small practice she and her NP will actually get to know you- and thats not always the case. She spends as much time as she needs with each patient. It was really a refreshing and positive experience for me. I heartily recommend Dr. Lopusny.

AMAZING! This is how I would describe Dr. Lopusny. A great pediatrician, who LOVES children and showers her patients with love and undivided attention. I have two girls and she has always showered them with love and attention as if they were her own children. I have seen her do this with other patients as well no matter what their age, gender, nationality ect… She is truly just a kind and loving person to all. I have never and probably will never find such an amazing doctor as Dr. Lopusny. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
