I am waiting for a call to conferm they are coming to get my cat on Monday in am to take him to the clinic... I called and no-one answered.. I have never allowed anyone to take my car from me for hrs and not being allowed to go and stay and wait while the surgery is done is making me nervous.... If Nutmeg could pls call me back asap..that would be very appreciated....have a few questions....thank u.... And They are doing this service for me with lil payment....thats why the 5 stars.... Oh and I cant see building on street view please help would like to see where my cat is going....at least the building... There is no 25 in the st view...and no building with logo....looks trashy to be blunt...now two calls and no answer....kinda scared now.... One of the comments on here said that their cat pooped Im carrier and they didnt clean it up. Google USER...and she also complained about the shaving...If u watch the video it informs u they do that so they can do the surgery....

I found out about Nutmeg Clinic from a client of mine when I told her we were having out cat spayed at our vet. Our vet, who we are extremely pleased with was going to cost close to $200. At Nutmeg Clinic I think I paid $85 which included a vaccine and nail clipping! There is really no parking for the Clinic but for the cost to get your cat fixed youll figure it out. Dogs and females are a little more than a male cat. Drop off is in the morning and its a small waiting room and everyone who dropping of the day you go will be there when you are. I estimate when I brought my cat there were about 30 people there. Very crowded. Pick up is at 4 in the afternoon I believe and again everyone is there at the same time. There were no issues with my cat after he was fixed and I will go back there in the future for other pets I may own. They are Not a regular vet. Its a non profit I believe as well so any donations you make will go towards helping other animals.

Get the BEST CARE POSSIBLE for your pets at Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic!!! The facility is sparkling clean, staffed with canine and feline EXPERTS. Your pets are in the most skilled and caring hands at Nutmeg and you will save hundreds of dollars over what veterinary hospitals will charge you. More important than money, is the fact is that your cat(s) and/dog(s) are so well cared for, I know this because I had a couple of my own cats there for surgery. Dr Grace is a gifted veterinarian and surgeon, I HIGHLY recommend her. Thank you everyone at Nutmeg for your hard work and for making a positive difference in this world. I will sing your praises over and over again.

This place has stolen my money. And you can never get thru on the phone. I had made an appointment and couldnt find my voucher and had to pay $100 to make an appt. I called them 5 mins later when I found it but was never refunded the $80. Then long story, but appointment was cancelled ahead of time and I was told my $100 would be refunded but I am still trying to get it back. I am a single working mom and this is appalling. I have gotten a few emails from some unnamed person but then they ignore me. Their phone system will not let me get thru (no clue how I got thru to make an appointment) DO NOT USE THEM.

These "people" took 3 days to call me back, and when they finally called they told me to call right back when I was in a better cellphone reception. I called them 5 minutes after and they didnt pick up, I called 15 times until I went over to their building (online it said it was open) and a very rude lady told me to leave. They want my cat to be homeless, its been over a week and I have yet to hear from them. Screw these people just go to another clinic, theres hundreds of others! I got my cat neutered and all his shots and a flea treatment for $150 in plantsville.

I took my two year old domestic short hair siblings to Nutmeg Clinic in Shelton. They fixed my critters for $65, but returned them to me with an excessive amout of fur shaved off (my female is shaved halfway up one of her sides), and my male had his own poop matted into whatever fur was left on his stomach. When I approached the woman about it, she said "oh, well he went while in the carrier and we did our best to clean it up." While they helped by fixing them at a more affordable rate, they certainly didnt go out of their way to take care of them.

The staff is amazing and they take great care of the animals. The people that run this clinic should go home feeling extremely proud of the impact they are having on the community. Love this place and I wish the government would grant them much more money to continue their success! One day I hope they get enough grants to be able to afford regular veterinary care as opposed to solely spay / neuter with shots. Nonetheless, love the staff, love the place.

Its a great place and really affordable... For all of those looking to get ONLY the job done this is the best place for the best price...Since most of us are looking to get a cheap price we shouldnt be looking to get top of the line service but as far what they told me they were gonna do with my cats they did it in the best way possible... Keep it up people at Nutmeg you are great!!!!

Staff was very friendly and kind. My puppys procedure went well no issue. Make sure you get there on time. I was a bit surprised when I was told my healthy 13 pound puppy should of been a 10 pound puppy and there was a 50 dollar extra charge for spaying her. Other than that it was a great place.

Took 4 cats there. The males stitches opened recently! He was returned covered in grey soot or something and an oily substance on his fur. Im heartbroken.
