The worst experience I have ever had. I waited 40 Mins after my scheduled appointment for anything to happen besides a quick xray. Im a mom, I dont have 40 Mins to spare. Then the dentist finally comes in. She asked me to put on these goggles (???lol) never had to do that before. I was confused but obliged. They were also dirty. Had dried wet spots on them from prior use. She then proceeded to "Clean" my teeth. The weakest, most rushed version of a cleaning I have ever had. While she is doing it she is drowning me in water. Had a steady stream of water running down the left side of my neck while more water was splashing all over my face. Thats when......the glasses made sense. Now dont get me wrong, Im pissed about this visit. I have to wait 6 more months for a REAL cleaning.smh. But while that water is splashing all over my face, I wanted to laugh!lol. It gets better..... After that, she yelled to her assistant and asked if she could floss me. She was unavailable so the dentist was nice enough to do it herself. She flossed 4 TEETH! My front teeth!!. Smh. Then put a MASSIVE GLOB of fluoride on my teeth, buffed it a little, then drowned me again. After my bath she suctioned me a few times but because she put Sooo much fluoride on my teeth I ended up with a glob of it I had to pick out in my bottom gum line. I am/was a brand new client. Im 32 and I have gotten my teeth cleaned every 6 months since I can remember...So I have experience working with other providers. I am also a nurse. I am CONVINCED this is the place that hires all of the dental school rejects. I will NEVER go here again and plan on going further with my complaint. Horrible, absolutely horrible.

I usually dont ever leave reviews but I have been to doctor dental in West Hartford and Vernon and my experiences were terrible. I decided to go back to my dentist at ismile family dental and they are so so good to me. All the women are beautiful inside and out and these girls at doctor dental should take notes because theres nothing attractive about an ugly personality. I love Julissa she is so sweet and she helped me out a lot. The vernon branch seemed irritated when the West Hartford branch wouldnt send my documents so Im not sure why they did the same with my dentist at ismile. Most but not all of the receptionists and dental assistants were rude in some way. A lot of unnecessary things to deal with. The dentists are great and they are very kind. Although it seems more about the money than the health of the mouth. West Hartford told me I had no cavities then the vernon branch said I had two. My dentist told me I have one and informed me with more information then any other dentist I have been to so I was glad I went to them. Its lovely to see women empowering other women. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have severe anxiety in general and hate the novacaine. I went in for a cleaning last summer. A dentist (I do not know his name as he is the 4th to work on me in the few times Ive had to go there) decided it would be a great idea to drill through my front teeth. In doing so, he chipped the inside top edge of my front tooth. I had a friend with me because I dont do well with having my teeth worked on who told me afterwards. Sure enough there was a chip. My friend assured me it wasnt that bad knowing my anxiety. I waited and over the course of a year it has now formed into a cavity. One was not there prior. And I didnt have much of a gap to begin with, at most a thin space towards bottom between front teeth, NOT top where he drilled!! So now Im limited to where I can go to get this fixed, worried about how far its progressed to and what exactly theyll have to do now to fix it. If you value your front teeth.... Do not go here. Seriously youll regret it.

Had the exact same experience as the other reviewer on here who gave one star (Tessa H). Worse dentist Ive ever been to. The dentist, dr petal, was also the hygienist and provided the worst cleaning experience; my face was covered with splashing water throughout the cleaning and the brushing/polishing was very rushed. I also couldnt believe there was no flossing that was done. The consultation afterwards was a shameful attempt at trying to get me to come back for additional petty services (that now I dont even recall) which I dismissed without ever scheduling a future appointment. Personally found the experience humorous and a wasteful use of my time. It sucked to waste my free insurance cleaning there. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Came for a cleaning, which went fine. Told I have two cavities and got a scheduled time to come and get fillings. When I returned for the fillings the office was filthy. Blood on the floor, eaten lollipop sticks and stained tools for use in the mouth were all just in my area. I witnessed two assistants unsure of where to place bloody extracted teeth. Long story short, I got up and told them I was uncomfortable with the state of the office and having any work done. I went to a different dentist a week later to address my cavities, only to find out they didnt exist at all. This place wanted to drill into my perfectly fine teeth just to make money. I would recommend not going here at all.

Having been fearful of dentists my whole life, this is the best experience I have ever had! everything was explained to me, and my questions answered. From the friendly staff as soon as I walked in, Dr. Summit and the amazing assistants, I was calm and knew I was in the best hands!! My dental work is all done and I cant say enough about the care I recieved!! I had several teeth pulled and now have dentures . The entire staff was amazing!! So caring, friendly, knowlegeable and my " new teeth" are great! I would and have told others about my wonderful experience with talented staff. Go check them out!!

I had the first appointment time of the day and was frustrated that it took a half hour for me to be seen. Im assuming this was because Im a new patient and had to fill out paperwork. It would be beneficial for the receptionist to explain this at the time of appointment scheduling. The dental assistant I had seemed a bit disorganized and not overly friendly. It would have been nice to have her explain what to expect and at least ask if I had any questions. I did like the Dentist, he was friendly and proficient and for him alone I would go back to this practice. After my cleaning, my mouth looked and felt great!!

I CAME HERE WHEN THE FIRST OPEN. I WAS GETTING MY TEETH DONE FAITHFULLY EVERY 6 MONTHS BEFORE I TRIED DR. DENTAL. NEVER HAD CAVITIES . SO, I CAME TO DR. DENTAL BECAUSE HE WAS HAVING A GRAND OPENING FOR NEW PATIENTS, AND PEOPLE WITHOUT INSURANCE. THEY TOLD ME I HAD 3 CAVITIES..... I KNEW THE WERE BS, I DIDNT MAKE APPOINTMENT TO GO BACK. 6 MONTHS LATER I WENT BACK TO MY ORIGINAL DENTIST, NO CAVITIES... ITS BEEN ABOUT 3 AND A HALF YEARS NOW.... I HAVE INSURANCE, BEEN GOING TO DENTIST,,, STILL NO CAVITIES... BOTTOM LINE, THEY LIED, JUST TO TRY TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF ME... DONT TRUST THEM !!!
