**Update** After confronting the woman in the office about the two week no call back she rudely told me that I never called the office to begin with, although on my file was a post it note with my exact request. Also, after being referred to a gastro the woman in the office never sent over my new most current labs and ultrasounds, instead she sent irrelevant pelvic ultrasounds and blood work from years ago. Absolutely ridiculous and frustrating.** Absolute worst office in CT. waited over five days to have an ultrasound paper faxed over. Still waiting over two weeks for a phone call back regarding a prescription. Office is run extremely poorly and the one staff member is beyond rude and is more concerned about getting her salad for lunch than the needs of patients. This office is extremely frustrating if you have serious medical problems I do not recommend you use this doctor or you will find yourself becoming just as frustrated as me. Please feel free to contact me about my experience I do not want anyone to go through what i had to at this office.

First let me state that Dr. Hulinskys medical knowledge/time spent with me to discuss all issues was quite good. However, the way that his office is run- which is ultimately his responsibility- was nothing short of terrible. For 6 months I have dealt with an answering machine- they NEVER pick up the phone, and take sometimes weeks to return a call. I have to call many times, to get a response, to get an appointment, or a question answered. Thankfully, my medical needs are nothing serious- as I can not imagine dealing with such lack of professionalism with a serious medical issue. I have already transferred to another office( who promptly made me an appointment, even though they still have not gotten requested records they themselves requested from Dr. Hulinskys office). Not surprisingly, my intern, and the new endocrinologist office both laughed when I told them my experience, as they stated that his office has the reputation of treating all patients/referring Dr.s this same way for years. I do NOT recommend this office.

Doctor seemed great at first, but refused to listen to me. Insisted he was right and said multiple things that I already knew were wrong due to research between visits - such as half lives of medication and known side affects which are known facts. When i showed him print outs disputing his godlike gospel he refused to accept the validity of them and insisted he was right. There wasnt even room for discussion. I saw him for male hormone issues, he treated my blood work, but not my symptoms. The treatment he gave me made me feel awful and he refused to accept that it was causing side affects because my blood work looked so much better. I found another doctor who amazingly listens and low and behold im doing much better. Id stay far away from this quack. His office manager is also a complete flake. She constantly lost paperwork and never returned calls and was often snippy with me.

I e mailed over a copy of my insurance to make absolutely sure they accepted it, and they replied that they did. Turns out they did not and I got stuck with a $500 bill which I now have to pay for in cash, and at the visit he pushed a medication on me which is known to cause permanent side effects and has caused many people to commit suicide as a result. I am glad I didnt take it. When I called to complain about my denial of payment from my insurance company he told me it was it was my fault and that i was "beat for the money" and then hung up on me, even though his receptionist lied that they took my insurance on several occasions.Terrible experience with this doctor. Be very wary of this snake oil salesman.

Dr, Hulinsky has helped me so greatly now and will continue too for the rest of my life as I am a MTF Transgender women. He has made my life so much better and is a true advocate and ally to our community I always recommend this doctor to anyone needing endocrine treatment. To those complaining about the front desk Jen has always been very nice and pleasant to me and in fact knows me by my first name and my face every time i walk in or call, you have to understand the office is very busy and most calls are taken on a black berry cellphone so if you dont get a response its really simple to just call back in a few hours! c :

This brilliant doctor could use his powers for healing the sick; like helping people with cancer, however, he is most concerned with helping men become women; because, in my opinion, thats where the money lies. Its impossible to track him or his rude receptionist down, and for you to get access to your own files. He told me I probably needed surgery, then neglected me while I got worse; I took it upon myself to get my tumors removed and when I went to him for a follow up, he didnt seem to remember who I was and then proceeded to tell me that I didnt really need the surgery.

Great experience with Dr Hulinsky, West Haven, CT. Such a great Doctor with gentle spirit, great attitude and great listening skills. He is like a good friend. He made me so comfortable in his office. I never met any Doctors with this kind of caliber. I was struggling with my Diabetics and Cholesterol issues since last 15 years. My health was deteriorating. He really helped me to understand my diabetics and cholesterol issues. He changed my medication and I feel much better and doing good. I will recommed anyone to this doctor.

Done with this office. I have papillary thyroid cancer carcinoma & my health is getting worse I have been calling for a month to get my results for my blood work and for a sonogram of my neck and no matter how many times I call and leave messages all I can speak to is a voicemail. I cant and wont deal with that anymore. I do not recommend going to this doctors office. Especially if You have a serious medical issue.

Something is wrong with the practice. We have been asking for a receipt for insurance purposes for 4 months and the few times we have been able to contact the office, they tell us they will send it but do not. Not sure if they are shutting it down, dont have an office staff, or something else. The initial experience with the doctor was good, but afraid to return now.

Dr. Hulinsky has treated my entire family with care. Yes, their office is hard to deal with occassionally. You have to call multiple times to talk to someone. Once you do, its usually fine. We dont mind the slight hiccups of human error. We understand he is running a busy Drs office. He is intelligent and compassionate and we highly recommend him.

Dr. Hulinsky took care of my mother for more than 15 years...she lived to be 94 years old...Dr. Hulinsky took the time to explain the tests results and made adjustments to medicines accordingly. He is very concerned about ones wellness. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a primary care doctor or a specialist.
