I dont like giving bad reviews. I prefer to handle these things in-house. However, Teresa Pittman plain scares me. Im not implying any sense of physical danger. Im referring to a general lack of competence, compassion and professionalism. She has a list of specialties, and among them, ADHD. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. Im an adult that has truly struggled with relationships, jobs and everything in between as a result. It took me years to find someone to explain what was going on, and that Im NOT lazy or stupid. So, how come, if indeed one of her specialties is ADHD, could she not explore that as an option? I endured her truly unprofessional attitude for as long as I was able. It wasnt beyond me that it was there, I just believe in giving chances, and everyone has their days. Well, I guess that wasnt the case. She would barely make eye contact, and was easily frustrated. She actually raised her voice at me, and made disparaging remarks. I was so shocked, I could barely defend myself. I managed to attend several sessions before my breaking point. So, Im sure there are those that have a great experience with Teresa Pittman, I am not one among those. So, I leave it up to the consumers to decide. Be mindful of the care you receive. Do not feel that you deserve to be dismissed. Always have your back first. Research your symptoms and have open dialog with a family physician about any Specialist care you receive for documentation purposes. Initially it was a very beneficial experience. When it came time to pay for my services, it became a nightmare in a matter of a week...First, my account was mismanaged; I didnt hear about this account from the office for more than a year. When I got notification, I mailed a check the same day and spoke to the office manager about arrangements for the difference. I was paying without fail, then 2 months later was called by a Collections Agency. They told me they were informed by Pittman Behavior Health that I never made payments outside of the first and this account was about to impact my credit. All of this as Im trying to build my new home. I settled the account the same day. Weeks later, I received another call from the Collection Agency stating I never made my October payment! I immediately found proof of all payments and made sure I emailed Octobers proof to the agency. I attempted to call the office; no response. When I called the person that was prescribing my meds in the past, I was disrespected for calling her phone number and the conversation ended abruptly due to her rude manner and unprofessionalism. Im completely bother by her approach when all I was attempting to do was resolve the matter as quickly as possible. I would never recommend her to anyone! Overall, this was the worse professional experience to date for me.

I dont often give reviews, however my experience with Terasa was a very negative one and hopefully this post will offer a warning to those seeking services from this practioner. During my initial appt and going over my mental health history i mentioned my struggles with presrcription opiods years ago. Her attitude shifted and i can tell she was become annoyed with me i guess because i am a "drug addict" . She then asked me the question had i ever been arrested? When i responded with "no", she looked at me kind of suprised and said "Like, never?". When i said again no then why? She responded "Because most people with a drug problem have had legal issues". I was floored. I left there in tears after she told me she didnt think i was a "good fit", referred me to Connections and charged me an additional $35. I would not recommend her services to anyone. It was a pretty horrifying experience to say the least.

Seemed like a nice doctor, BUT before I even finished my paperwork, she started to rush me through my evaluation, and wanted pay immediately. She denied me because of a condition that I was ultimately there for, which was the 2nd thing we talked about. I was there for 51minutes. Needless to say, she should have certain conditions that she will not treat placed in her paperwork, that everyone has to fill out. I feel like she made an easy $200, and turned away a patient, that was trying to get help. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Wondering how a "nurse practitioner" can have their own practice, treat, and prescribe, without a doctorate anyways.
