I moved to Delaware last year and transferred my wellness plan from San Diego because I was so happy with my experience there. This Banfield is more interested in how much they can gauge you for than taking care of your pet. I have a pug who went in for his annual dental. I also took my other pug, who I recently adopted for the same procedure. Number one pug was fine. My new pug had to have several decayed teeth. They removed some but stated that if I wanted the rest removed it would cost an additional $700. Next, they told me that my pug had a lump that would cost $300 to biopsy. I asked them why so much. In San Diego, I paid $75. They stated that they dont have a lab so it had to be sent out. They offered to reduce it to 150 if I did it at the same time as his comprehensive exam. It is like dealing with an auction. A few weeks ago, I called Banfild because my dog ate a pack of Mentos and I wanted to know what to do. They gave me an 800 number to a poison center that charges $49 to assist you! I called my old Banfield in San Diego and they helped me right away. I cant believe I was farmed out this way! I am so leery of going back to this Banfield for fear they will harm my dog. I just feel as if their primary concern is not the animals, but the bottom dollar. I will be taking my pets elsewhere.

BE CAREFUL ONCE THEY HAVE YOU PUPPY THEY WILL CHARGE YOU MORE THAN AGREED UPON AND TELL YOU IF YOU DONT PAY IT THEY WILL SEND IT TO COLLECTIONS!!!!!! I paid for the puppy wellness package. Part of this was to include neutering. Now comes the time to do the neutering. I take the day off from work to drop my fur babies off. I get there and they want to charge me for it. I am not going to be charged a second time for this so I leave with the puppies. I call their corporate client relations and explain what happened. They said they would look into it. I get a call later that day, the manager from the banfield location tells me they are sorry for the misunderstanding. They make an appointment for me the following week. I go to drop the puppies off...and they tried to charge me again! I tell them to call the manager. The manager says no that is already paid for. In the middle of all this they are telling me one of the testicular didnt descend. After all the inconvenience The manager agreed to $86.00 to do this. Now that they have my babies, she calls and tells me it will be over $200.00 and if I dont pay it, it will go to collections. Please do yourself and your pets the favor of going to a different pet health provider. This place is only cares about the money and apparently will go to any means to get it.

I always trust Banfield and have gone to them to care for my cats, which I have two, whenever I have moved from one place to another. But this one in particular irked me a certain way due to one vet, who is a she, that suggested I put down one of my cats because she has FIV. No vet has ever told me so. Ive always been told that I should keep her indoors and safe from outside contact. Show her love and care. Doing so can make her happy and trusting which in turn can increase her lifespan in respect to her condition. But no, this vet has to come and say that it would be best to just put her down. Its almost as is she was saying that coming into Banfield with my one FIV cat is a waste of her time and resources. I almost went off on her but behaved myself and instead here I am posting a review of my experience with this one vet. Now, I understand that FIV is a problem and can shorten the lifespan of a cat and expose them to other diseases like leukemia. Fine. But to suggest to put her down and dismiss the possibility of prolonging her life by providing great care is appalling. She is a happy, curious, and playful kitty whose condition is not hindering her life. So what the hell lady.

I love Banfield and I recommend them to everyone. Ive been a customer and pet parent to one dog since 2011. Theyve always been amazing to work with and the wellness plan has literally saved me SO much money. Ive always wanted a dog growing up and hearing stories of friends and coworkers and the amount that they spend alone in vet costs just makes me so grateful to pay the $38 a month (less than $500 a year). The wait can be a little long from time to time with checking in and waiting for the vet, but the service has been great. They recently got a new staff to work the front desk and one girl in particular seemed very rude on the phone which I didnt care for whatsoever. Besides that, I will always be a customer of theirs.

My German Shephard Ryder would growl at everyone but the psy docs at Banfield made friends with him and now he runs back there without looking back at me . Everyone of those front desk girls treat Ryder like a giant Teddy Bear and the female vet that sees him is awesome . I Love all of those staff members . I do agree that vets are expensive especially when our pets are ill but anyone is better than that VCA which would literally put a lien on your house for the care of your animal or would watch them die in front of you and tell you it will cost you $500 for letting your dog die on their floor . No Heart ! Love Banfield!

Ive gone for years but that will now come to an end. theyve stolen from me and lied to me. theyve charged me for services they did not complete. more than once Ive dropped my cat off for services and when Ive gone to pick her up have been told they werent completed and i would have to bring her back. over the past year all services have got worse. the price never goes down but services offered and quality of care declines. at this point wellness plan is a complete rip off. stay far away.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable about their products and services and they go above and beyond to make sure your pet gets the best care while there. The Wellness Plans are FANTASTIC and well worth the money! I have recommended Banfield to everyone that I know!

Its completely unacceptable they send all nurses and vet tech to lunch at the same time. I came for a simple nail cutting and am told that nobody is hear to do it for an hour and half. Who makes thier sechudle like this?

Checking in usually takes a bit longer than expected, but other than that, the techs and the vets have all been great to me and my cats.
